"I never tried a great pizza in my life when the one I had there. It is definitely has the NYC Pizza style, you eat not only bread, but also another flavor and super fresh meat and vegetables. My husband never eats his stomach sensitivity during the night, but when it comes to pizza expression, he would eat without problems. Price is reasonable for the 5 star food you get."

I would look for a place that would come at least near New York Style Pizza After 3 years I found it at Pizza Express!!! You will not be condemned

I grew up in Jersey and have been living in VA dor for 13 years. I finally found some real pizza in Virginia. Well run, delicious pizza and a new family book for us. Would recommend looking for real pizza in Richmond.

Pizza Express is just the best. Sometimes I order the delivery or pick me up and I'm never disappointed. They offer fantastic portions and have high quality ingredients. The chicken wings are so delicious / crispy and I cannot resist their tasteful pizza. Try them before any big commercial pizza chain!

"The food was consistently good, but there were a few issues. There weren't enough straws for the number of drinks, and the coffees, although they had different flavors, weren't labeled, so we had to guess which one was which. Several sauces we had ordered were missing, and there was only one napkin provided. While the service was quick, I would prefer if they took a bit more time to ensure everything was packed correctly rather than rushing it out."

"This was our first visit and it most certainly won’t be our last. They are definitely 5 star worthy but I will explain why they got 4 from our experience. Let’s start at the beginning with our appetizers. Calamari is always a must. I just love the little tentacles and they served a bunch of them. I was thrilled because most of the time, you only get a few but this was a generous portion with lots of little arms. The second appetizer was the grilled octopus. This is where they lost a few points because the $17 tentacle over white beans was pretty tiny. It was tender and nicely cooked so we didn’t complain. For the mains, I got the bone in veal Parmesan and hubs got braised beef ravioli with a meatball added. My goodness, the veal was super tasty. The red sauce was very balanced. The meatball, Mmmm Mmmm. His ravioli was very good but I liked mine better. Served with fresh, hot bread and a spring mix salad. We were very pleased and we look forward to our next visit. The service was friendly and the foods were presented at their appropriate times. Just an all around great experience."

"My party had reserved the VIP experience and were looking forward to the additional perks that came with it. However, we were disappointed to learn that this option was not very popular and was being phased out, according to our server. This did not give us a VIP feeling. The first course was not available, so we received a potato stuffed with green goddess instead. The "double dippers" were not impressive and did not complement the cheese well. The staff did not inquire about the occasion we were celebrating, and overall, the experience did not feel special. We would not choose this option again, especially considering the high price of nearly $80 per person."

"What a delight! I lived in Richmond for over 30 years and have never tried Azzurro. The ambience, the food, the service were all outstanding. We were seated at a lovely table by a lovely maître d’, who is extremely charming, and set the tone for the evening. Perfect cocktails, followed by a beet salad for me and shrimp gazpacho for others at our table. They all loved it. As for dinner, I enjoyed the Pollo Palermo and the halibut piccata special for my other half. Both dishes were so unique. In my opinion very clean Italian. The quality of a halibut was outstanding. In my opinion, all the food was spot on. Our server was absolutely delightful. She read our table beautifully, and I commend her for her professionalism and talent for making a perfect evening even more perfect. for others at our table. They all loved it. As for dinner at Azzurro- go in, expecting a charming environment with a charming staff, genteel vibe, and overall pleasant experience."

"from the outside it seems to be a very small place, but its only one. it is really great place they would think if they are in a restaurant and not a bar with so much concrete on beer everywhere they see, wall, painting serviettes, glasses etc. it has a great choice in the menu and also for vegetarian as me. that is impressive just a preview, they take orders a little too fast, so make sure their adjustment is well noticed all at a great place!"
