"It is very popular so we had about a 30 minute wait. We sat outside to eat which was very pleasant even though it was quite hot but plenty of shade plus umbrellas. The food was good and plenty of it. The four of us were able to take half of our meals back to our trailers for another meal. I had the tamales smothered in sauce. I ordered the less spicy and so glad I did because it was spicy enough. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want good Mexican food, pleasant servers and enough time not to feel rushed."

Superlative New Mexican food in a historic house served bye efficient and friendly staff. Lovely inside and in the outdoors patio.

Went to Ranchos Plaza Grill for early lunch. Sat outside in a nice patio. We both had 2 different entrees and they were both excellent. The green chili had great flavor. The service was very good the waiter was very attentive and personable. We will definitely return when we travel to Taos.

"There have been several very pointed negative reviews of this restaurant primarily involving service that I'd like to comment on. In fact, the reviews are so negative that I had to check this place and the owners out for myself to see what reality truly was. I arrived about 6:30p and was immediately offered an inside or outside table. I took the outside table since it was a nice evening and would also test the service. Nice helpful waiter arrived with menus within a couple of minutes. My drink order was taken 2-3 minutes later. The drink was delivered 3-4 minutes after that. The dinner order was taken timely and my food was delivered hot and in a less than normal amount of time. And it was EXCEPTIONAL food. Wanting to tell the owners that I was glad I checked it out for myself, I asked the waiter if the owners were at the restaurant that evening. Sure the waiter replied, I'm Antonio I told him how great the meal was and told him I really wanted to meet his wife Sarah who had been written about so often to see if she was as mean and rude as the reviews said she was. He laughed and said just a minute. Sarah came out about 5 minutes later and I told her she was becoming a cult hero. She also laughed saying the reviews painted a false picture and I have to agree. She said she was was glad I had come to check it out myself, and told me a number of others had recently done the same, and had reached the same conclusion. Here's my take: everyone knows staffing is next to impossible these days, especially in a smaller tourist-oriented town like Taos. If you go to a restaurant with great food and it's crowded (as it should be), don't expect minute by minute service. Be patient and understanding. If you want service at the snap of your fingers, go when it's not crowded. Go early in the evening. Otherwise, be patient and polite. There is no doubt in my mind the negative reviews and Sarah's pointed replies are likely in response to some impatient, demanding and unrealistic attitudes. I strongly recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting exceptional food at a fair price."

"On Wednesday at 6 p.m. with an employee. Parking is very limited outside. They sit more inside than parking outside. We were immediately greeted at the door and the only place they had available were seats at the bar, as the place was very busy. I ordered the 5 star burger with a stopper side salad. My staff ordered the crispy chicken shell that came out as a crispy chicken salad. My side salad was disappointing like the cold pommes. However, the burger, cooked to order, was awarded on a special bunny, with fresh crumb cheese and bacon. Overall, the interior is nice, the speed was a little slow, but they were full of capacity so that understandable. The price was a touch high and the non-burger food we ate was best on average. However, the place is called 5 stars burgers and man are their burgers good. I'd definitely eat again, I wouldn't order a salad next time."

"I only bought a Cafe au Lait here, didn't buy any food. However, I noticed there were vegan options. The coffee was very good and they made mine right with non-dairy milk like I had requested The staff were very friendly and kind. They gave my furry companion fresh water and two free dog biscuits (bones). The atmosphere inside and in the patio was very laidback and very nice. Prices are reasonable for a tourism-based economy/city and not more than Starbucks"

"Our food was very good some of the best meat I've had in a long time. They seated appropriately for covid and you did have to stand and place your order and they delivered it to your table. They have outdoor seating. The only thing or reason I did not give it a five-star is because there's a situation and with the ladies restroom that they need to handle. Otherwise by all means check this place out very good food."

"Had a great meal of Chile Rellenos and blue maize Enchiladas. The ingredients had a wonderful taste and the sopapillas were delightful (order extra, so you have the sop up the sauces of your meal and another with honey to eat dessert). She left her property for the moment without an alcohol license, but they work on it and I look forward to coming back and having a margarita with my meal. Service was super friendly and welcoming."
