"I can't believe we haven't dined here before. We went last night for our anniversary and it was perfect. This classy, small restaurant has a good ambience and great, friendly service. The food is fabulous - we had the prawn appetizer, lamb chops and trout for main courses, and a chocolate pot dessert and chef special (berry cobbler). We have given this restaurant multiple opportunities primarily due to our fondness for the bartender. However, since he has departed, so have we. Despite being labeled as upscale by some reviewers, I can only assume they are either acquaintances of the owner or have never dined at a truly sophisticated establishment. The limited menu is unconventional and the wine selection is lacking in variety.

"What a wonderful find! The setting is nice, we had the pleasure of sitting outside under a big tree... could have stayed all day! The service was warm, friendly and efficient. I ordered the daily Eggs Benedict Special (with Spinat) and could not have been satisfied anymore. The Hollandaise was PERFECT! Light and lemony, not the usual glop that serve most restaurants. The potatoes were tasteful and not overwhelming. A decanter of water cried our table. The GM/Head Chef Corey Whelan makes a wonderful job and treats both positions with integrity, imagination and a fine hand. I'm back!"

"2nd Visit on 7/26/24 Once again a fantastic 5 Star visit to Initiative Brewing with our Baseball team from the Portland area. We had approx 35-40 people and worked with Grace to reserve space ahead of time. She was prompt and very accommodating. Our server was outstanding. He balanced serving so many different families across different tables. He was kind, patient and gave stellar service. Food and drinks were great and all the staff was excellent. Recommend this place whether you are a small or large group. You can't go wrong! Thank you for everything! 1st visit July 2023 Fantastic place to eat! We had a large party with multiple teen boys and parents all spread out amongst 4-5 tables, eating lunch prior to a baseball game. This was the 2nd time some of us ate there in a 4day trip. The atmosphere is great, clean and bright. The food is good. The service was outstanding. Our waitress was amazing in every way. She did a fabulous job in balancing the large of us and taking orders aligned with kids and their parent(s). It was PERFERCTLY executed. The whole staff was so friendly and so attentive! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

"I am in love with this place. The sourdough pancakes were good, but the sausage links were amazing. REAL CREAM for the coffee, and an AMAZING lemon syrup. Very homey atmosphere. Service was great and food was LIGHTNING fast. I would definitely recommend!"
