"I've come here a couple of times and ordered twice the steak arepa. Both times have been great. The arepa is crispy and not too dense which is a good. The steak has been well cooked to a medium being seasoned well. I could do medium rare but medium suffices. My wife got shredded beef arepa and it was excessively salty. She returned and got steak arepa and enjoyed it. The sauces for arepa sandwiches are good. I like the garlic aioli. The service good. Would be interested in trying other dishes."

A friend at work recommended this VENEZUELAN restaurant for lunch. I ordered a Malta polar and a beef patacón which is green plantain with shredded beef and cheese, pico de Gallo a staple from Venezuela!!!!!

This place is a joke I bought 3 cachapas they was trying to charge me $90 dollars when I got the cachapas where not good at all i when back inn I told them that the cachapas wher rough they told me that’s how they are I had them before they where nasty never go back there again service was bad lady had a attitude and the cook didn’t want to cook I ask for a pepito they said they don’t make those there I was really upset I wouldn’t recommend this place

"Melida who was our serve was excellent! She was so attentive and the food came out fast and fresh! We celebrated a birthday and had a one year old with us, great spot found a new Peruvian restaurant that we will now be regulars at! All the ceviche was delicious and their fried rice!"

"I have been wanting to try Filipe for a while...and it's funny I never knew they were located in the Southland Mall (if coming from inside the store they are across from the Starbucks and White Barn). My family and I just had done some shopping and we decided to finally try this place out as the opportunity presented itself. And considering what an amazing experience this resulted in... shows you this restaurant needs good word of mouth and advertisement because this place has delicious food. We entered the restaurant. Beautiful place. Clean... well decorated... warm and inviting. We were quickly greeted and seated. Our waiter, Renzo, came and greeted us. He gave us time to look at the menu since this was our first time. We received some focaccia bread on the house and it was amazing! Warm... tasty and with olive oil...delectable. Granted,I love bread and olive oil...but this was particularly good bread. We ordered our meal. My brother and I decided to split a large pizza with pepperoni, prosciutto and Italian sausage. My mother ordered the fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp. She loved her meal. While my brother and I voraciously ate ours. Pizza was well cooked...hot...cheesy...and mmmm mmmm delicious. We all split for dessert a chocolate lava cake with some vanilla gelato. Fantastic! Loved the chocolate goodness of the lava cake....the warm gooey ness meeting the cold gelato brought a huge smile to my face. The meal was amazing...no doubt about it. I would, though, like to make special mention of the service provided by Renzo and really the entire staff. The guy hustled to make our meal great. He was patient... answered all our questions... repeatedly came by to see how we were doing. The guy had other tables and responsibilities soon after we ordered but he made us feel like our satisfaction was paramount. That guy is an amazing waiter.... whoever his boss is... you better realize this guy is gold. For anyone in Homestead/Cutler Bay area looking a wonderful Italian restaurant/pizza...swing by and give Filipe a try...you won't regret it."

"This place was great. The service was decent, only issue was the party amount, a total of 45 guest. This caused them to not fully remember who ordered what. The food was delicious, although I did order the Cajun shrimp and grits, it was not as spicy as I thought it would be. The fries were flavorful and decently crisp. No undercooking and evenly seasoned. Now their house drinks are worth trying. It isn’t on the pricy side, it was creamy and flavorful. I would definitely bring the family here for future visits."

"We've been coming to Alaine's for a few years now. it's one of our favorite place to have dinner. Everything we've tried has been delicious and the staff is always attentive and welcoming. We love this place so much, we decided to have our wedding reception there this past weekend and we can't thank Jacky and all of the staff enough!
