"not many vegan options, just a few modified salads, granola, and a tomato basilikum suppe, but the suppe was quite excellent. but the actual attraction for us were the donuts. they offer a few daily flavors of their vegan donut options, from glazed to chocolate vereist; they make in the regular pie donuts on the weekdays, adding increased vegan donuts at the weekends. top it with coffee and soy milk and it is a more than sufficient lunch on an island with few vegan options. a cozy diner in an old building with a large sitting area in the open, ideal for beautiful weather."

"good choice of vegan options (noodles, vegetarian section on the menu, tofu, noodles with impossible meat,) which are clearly marked, along with a competent and flexible staff. the chow my noodles were not labeled as vegan, but they have no problem to order them (make sure to dispense with egg and oyster or fish sauce.) update in 2021: they have a beautiful terrace/outer seat group that opens at 15:00!"

"On this island we don't have a lot of choices for dinner on Monday night. If Monday is the night you are looking for dinner, the TAPROOM is a good choice. The menu is not long, but the tacos, flank steak or shrimp, and the Fall Salad, served year round are beautiful food. It's noisy and rustic. We are fortunate to have it."

"Nice bistro and winery in Freeland, Whidbey Island,Washington State. Stopped by for lunch. There is a smallish menu selection for lunch, including vegetarian options, offering a tapas style menu. The olives, mussels and house smoked salmon are delicious and I would recommend these. There are a couple of salads on the menu too. We had a slight problem with our salads but the staff handled it well and therefore I am not taking any stars off. There was not a huge amount of flexibility to adapt the menu for food intolerances but all ingredients are listed on the menu. There is a wine tasting selection too we had the White Flight which has tastings of 4 white wines and was also good. Large deck at the back of the restaurant which is lovely but we had to change to indoors due to wasps. Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options available on the menu including salads. Dietary restrictions: GF options available. Difficult for low FODMAP vegetarians not much flexibility for menu adaptation. There is a house salad (which you can have without the onion/tomato/cucumber topping combo, leaving just leaves) and some lovely olives. Parking: About 20 car parking spaces near the front entrance. Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible stairs to front entrance. Level throughout once up the stairs, with good amount of space between tables and in the toilets for manoeuvring. Standard height toilets."
