"We were up last night at 4:00. Had no reservation because it was early, but we were offered the bar. No problem at all and I have to say the place full within 15 minutes. Our waitress/bar tender/ answers all phone calls and command, Shannon, was nothing less than amazing! She kept the food coming while they sat at the bar and never missed an incoming call. The food is always great and will continue to go to Rube. Shannon is the best!"

"We arrived at the Carriage House Restaurant in Emmitsburg, MD on Thursday, 1/2 hour early for our 1 pm reservation. We sat right away. I had a crab cake with potatoes. They were excellent. The food came within 10 minutes. Early on Easter Sunday we stayed there with a family meeting and it took us 1 1/2 hours to accommodate our 1 pm seat. So it's the way to plan when to go. On holidays the Carriage House is packed. During a regular weekday it is not packed and really pleasant. It is about 30 minutes north of Frederick, MD straight from US 15. Every time I was there, the food was fabulous."

"I have grown up in emmitsburg area. I have gone here multiple times. My food is always messed up. Service is ALWAYS disappointing!!!! My drink are 10 plus and horrible. 1st drink filled FULL of ice with maybe 1/3 beverage. (I have worked In bars) this was ridiculous! Food Dry shrimp! Medium cold fries! Horrible beverages. Fountain and mixed alcohol beverages Spending over 200 in bill total Staff not appropriately dressed for families oriented. I do not recommend! I will NOT COME AGAIN! UNLESS IM GIVING A NEW RATING!"

"Had amazing service! We went in on Sunday and they had a special menu. My grandmother and I went when they had their mother’s day and we had an amazing filet mignon with mushroom sauce. Unfortunately it was not in the Sunday menu so we asked if there was any way they still could make it. The chef was so kind and made it for us. It was just as great as last time and It truly made our outing amazing. We definitely recommend others to try it!"

"Drove here from Frederick today because I had been hearing good things about this place for a few years. Went at 12:30 on a Saturday and there was one other party there when we arrived and one other party that came in while we were there. The food was okay, nothing special but the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. The whole time we were waiting for our food, the owner was sitting at the bar on a desktop computer watching YouTube videos at full volume all of which we could hear clearly as there was no other music playing.
