"This is my favorite restaurant in the Sonoma area. I love the food, ambience and service. Sadly, when I came in, I sat at the bar...the bartender was anything but friendly. There was definitely a mean under current stemming from him. We would have stayed longer but he had such bad energy I decided we should go to our table. Makes sense that the is on a Thursday night shift and not Friday ans Saturday. Food was great as usual. Nice presentation...service was great. Only issue I had was our bill was placed on our table when we were still eating. No mention of, would you like anything else...had he waited 10 more minutes and let us bring our dinner to a nice close that would have been optimum....

I've been to Salt Stone many times and it's always great. Yesterday was my first time with my college grad daughter and she was amazed by the views, the koi pond and the dragonflies. Glad the restaurant also arranged for perfect weather : . There's no better place to show off the Sonoma Valley!

I was expecting more from this place judging from reviews, apparently it's overated. The worst Poke bowl we've had in a while. Fish wasn't fresh and rice was soggy with too much vinegar. One of us got sick from it... Gnocchi had way too much salt and we took a few bites and left the rest. Service was decent and the ambience was pretty nice.

We were in Santa Rosa for 3 nights and only ate out twice both times at Salt Stone on the lovely patio. Lunch one day really enjoyed the Louie salad with shrimp, crab and prawns. Dinner the next day with the most amazing service from a server named Mauricio. He was world class! Very knowledgeable about the food, cocktails and wine. Made excellent suggestions and was constantly checking on us. Great views of the vineyards and a lovely pond/fountain that added to the ambience.

"I can’t say enough lovely things about the Union restaurant! My Mom, Aunt and I stopped in for lunch last weekend and our expectations were exceeded in every way. The family-run establishment is steeped with historical charm, Barbara the owner and her family were beyond welcoming and even gave us a slice of carrot cake for the road some of the BEST carrot cake I’ve ever had by the way! The bruschetta is also the best I’ve ever had, perfect in both flavor and texture. My aunt and I’s burgers and fries were cooked and seasoned to perfection, and my Mom thoroughly enjoyed her salad with a side of a meatball. Our server was also genuinely kind and very helpful. All in all, this place is a gem and worth the trip to an out of the way little town! "What a find! We passed by this place many times and didn't think to stop by till today! We came on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. Loved the airiness of the place with its big windows. They had quite a good selection of appetizers and mains but we were so hungry we went straight to the main. Our server was attentive and friendly and she recommended the chicken sandwich Nashville style and my BF had the fish tacos. Food came super fast! She was so right about the chicken sandwich. The brioche bun was soft and buttery and the chicken was seasoned well and the hot sauce was not overpowering. My BF liked the fish tacos so much that we are looking forward to trying the fish and chips next. The onion rings were a tad greasy and bland but it was battered to perfection so I didn't mind too much. The side of fries we ordered was huge and thinly cut (my favorite cut). Would love to come back for more food and have beers next time."

"This is located in a converted station. Many trains and maps. Vegan options on the menu were limited, but there might have been more available if we had asked. We had made the house Veggie Burger. Didn't like it very much. The breakfast items looked great, but I don't think they were vegan."
