"I had come to Samurai a few times before the pandemic and it was a great experience. I wanted to try again since I had time and wanted to have great food and experience. Man, I was wrong! Great sushi, prices arent crazy, friendly and accommodating staff. The sukiyaki soup is on the menu one of the best soups I ever had. Tuna quality is always good and consistent, and the owner is the man! All Sushi kitchens are experienced and know what they do.

Eat well, service is a little hit or miss. The interior is dated, and the bathrooms are dirty and old. It's not great in a sushi restaurant. Or in any restaurant. I would like to support this place because it has been so long and the owners are nice, but they need to update and clean.

We sat down and immediately the waitress told us it will take a while to get our food and asked if we wanted to order appetizers while we were waiting. We didn't. The food was good even though we ordered sukiyaki and ordered all the other sushi. The food lasted 50 minutes. If you are ready to wait for food for almost an hour, you should give free edamame or miso soup. The majority of people waited long for their food. It looks like this place has to be either limited as many people can sit or rent extra chefs.

"Such a beautiful hotel and the views are something else from the room. I slept every night with the curtains open so I could wake up to the lake. It was nothing short of spectacular. Kim William at the front desk were just on the point and so warm. They made us feel so welcome. We really enjoyed the complex. The games on the lawn to the pool. I loved s'mores in the evening so much we were gutted when we were out and missed the time it is on. Caroline always made s'mores time fun for us and you could see also for the other guests. We made it to the main restaurant and we were served by Derek. Honestly he just made the whole evening for us. We laughed so much we cried and the food and amazing local wines were just icing on the cake of what was such a great evening of good food watching the sunset from our table. We went to breakfast every day we were there and Beatrice Breann were just so great we always enjoyed seeing them. If you get Johnny when you are being shuttled around you are in for a treat. He recited a poem his grandmother wrote for the opening of the Golden Gate Bridge. It was amazing to hear. Little shout out to Mike as we bumped into him when we were enjoying the lawn games. He gave so many great local tips. It's little things like that which help you find more about the area than if you Google where to go. We definitely left feeling relaxed. Hopefully we will make it back for the hotel, team and especially for that view!"

"Amazing ambience, service and delicious food! We were recommended by a local business in the city after we were over the other location of this restaurant, Scusa, and we were so impressed Izabella. The garlic bread was great. Dinner came soon after the appetizer and looked flawless. The seafood-filuccine dish had such a fantastic taste as well as the seafood risotto! Don't skip the desserts! Nicely presented and also lovely. Great selection of wine and beer. Every employee was incredibly nice and happy to be there! This is definitely a place where we will return every time we are in Tahoe."
