"The food we had tonight was a breath of fresh air. Finally, a family-owned ethnic restaurant like an oasis in the middle of a desert of fast food and boring restaurants. I have not had Mexican food like this since I lived in LA. We had the chips and salsa, which were $3.95 for takeout, but now I have a big bag of leftover chips in my cupboard. The salsa was perfect.. a taste of heat, a taste of garlic and just slightly thick as all good homemade salsa are. I also had Pico de Gallo and guacamole. There is at least 1/2 of each still in the fridge. Both were excellent, and the guacamole had chunks of avocado and tomato with just the right amount of cilantro and a tiny taste of heat. This place might be a hit or miss, we got some enchiladas and the green sauce seemed to have gone bad and the chicken seemed old/ dry.
