"I heard Maxfields was a great restaurant to check when in Potsdam; the reports I heard are correct. We went on a Saturday night without a reservation, and they could take us. Unfortunately we couldn't get a table in their beautiful dining room, but that was on us. I would recommend calling forward for a table, next time we'll be sure. So we sat in the bar area, which was good. They offer a nice selection of drinks and their beer list is plentiful. Our server was polite and friendly and competent. Our ducks were delicious and served us quickly. We were very happy with our meals. Nothing bad to say about Maxfields, it's a charming little place. We would return without hesitation, absolutely recommend. Bon appetit!"
