Every time we come to St. Louis, The Crossing is on our GO TO list. They did not disappoint and we had the opportunity to introduce a friend for a first-time visit. Ambiance, wine, FOOD. Stellar as always!

"Food is good, Nigiri is delicious, albeit smaller. Ginger tastes weird, but wasabi is nice and strong. Rolls are ok because all the sauces are heavy Chinese-food sauces. Sushi sauces are usually super light and are not sweet. The prices are right, so its a good deal. Chinese spring rolls (not Vietnamese spring rolls) are fried, but are quite delicious. Fast attentive service, family friendly and nice staff. So four stars for overall quality!"

"The bowls were really good. We had a Shrimptastic, a Classic and a Build Your Own. There was a lot of shrimp and two large fried shrimp in the shrimp bowl. The build your own included a soft shell, crab as a chosen protein, which was delicious. There are many excellent options for components and flavors. The large bowls are substantial. Be prepared to spend about $20 per bowl. The service is quick."

The quality and authenticity of the food is equally consistent? complex in flavor, extremely reasonably priced, and the portion sizes are generous and filling. There are a variety of dishes and options to choose from, ranging from dips/spreads (great to share OR get them to go and bring to a party , shawarma wraps, and full plate ?skillet? type meals, which makes it an accessible dining experience based on how hungry you are, your food mood, or how much time that you have, though the food comes out quickly (without compromising quality or presentation every time. Though one can get dishes such as falafels and hummus many places around town, the intentionality and flavors behind Chef Feras?s authentic Jordanian street food approach really sets American Falafel apart. "So the first waiting period was 1 hour 20 minutes to get in. Then drink for 15 minutes. The waitress was great. Appetizers came in 20 min. The food lasted an hour. There were large gaps for 4 people between each get food. At least 20 min for all to get food after the first plate. My son got his Cheeseburger and Pommes and they were completely cold and had to be sent back. I have the Hibachi Steak and Wasabi potatoes. It was terrible and floating in oil. It may only be my taste buds, but I didn't like it. Wife got flat bread pizza and loved it."

"Ordinarily on New Years Eve we are faced with a paired down menu and poor service at other restaurants. The service, full menu and food were all excellent. The lobster roll appetizer is enough for a meal. The brioche bun was perfect, although I thought there was a little too much sauce with the lobster (I am from Maine). Tasted great though. Had the hanger steak and was very pleased with the texture and taste. The other couple had the lobster special and were also quite pleased. The duck was excellent and was large enough to bring some home. Excellent wine list even by the glass. A wonderful evening."
