"We found ourselves looking for food in Wellfleet around 9PM on the night after Independence Day. Barely any restaurant near us was still serving food. We were turned away from trusty Mac’s Shack because it was too busy, so we ended up at The Fox and Crow unplanned. Our entire group left beyond glad about this after our meals. Smaller menu, better quality.The atmosphere is super welcoming with very big and open exterior and interior dining areas, nicely contrasted in design. Low ambient light lit the indoor room. Went in to old beautiful place for a drink and an appetizer.A scant . and when a say “scant” tequila $25 , yes not a typo . And a skimpy eggplant app $16….. are you kidding me?I can’t comprehend these prices as (2) drinks pay for a bottle! mind boggling

Just had dinner here, and it was a delight start to finish! Great service (thanks Farrah Fabulous food (Thanks Matthew Beautiful location. Trudy (sp? has created a wonderful dining experience that really stands out on the Cape. My wife and I are hard to please at times, and we recommend this restaurant with no reservations at all! Truly an outstanding kitchen. . .a foodie must try . . . creative cuisine beautifully presented. We had four different apps and three different mains. Not one miss out of the seven. The Dirt Farm salad was the best salad we have had in years. The calamari were obviously fresh and the batter was very much like a fine tempura. A baby carrot app might not sound like much but the sauce/dressing made it a big hit. The braised short ribs are what you hope for but often don't get when you order them super tender and flavorful. "what is not to love this place? there are many parking spaces. easy. they have doggy drop stations on the parking lot, which makes this place a beautiful place to stop with their pooch. they even have water dishes outside for the dogs. the exterior decoration is so well made. they feel like in France. chef phillipe is so inviting. he never forgets a face and he needs the time to get out and say hello. you brot is phenomenal. the croissants are the best! the baked are scattered earthly. they even have a money supply as in Europe. the lights outside they let you know when they enter is the best!"

"We had the worst steak possible at this restaurant, cooked without any seasoning it looked like it had been boiled. Pretty poor treatment for any type of meat never mind the special NY strip and it was inedible. Also the truffle fries lacked any type of truffle flavor. The mixed grill plate was pretty good fish wise but oddly covered in a sweet chili sauce that tasted very sugary. We sent back the whole steak and ended up paying for it anyways which I guess is better than what would have happened to us if we had tried to eat it. Overall I would say expect entrees to cost about $40 each, the fish is decent but nothing special, and I would avoid any of the turf non-seafood options. Service also appeared pretty hit or miss, our service started out pretty strong but slowed down considerably after initial drinks. On the positive our kids loved the bland food options."

"We love PJs!My family has been coming here for generations! It absolutely would not be a visit to The Cape without stopping here for our favorites!The stuffed clam, onion rings, fried clams (some of the best on the Cape! , burgers! (I can't say enough about this, try their burgers! , corn on the cob! For the love of everything this was the best corn on the cob I've had on the Cape and in a long time period! Soft and sweet! And you have to try their fried scallops! Finish it off with some delicious ice cream and I promise you'll be totally satisfied.Thank's to the family who run this place consistently for generations. My grandma loved your guys food. See you all next season!"

"We had a fantastic lunch with our family at this restaurant while on vacation in the area. The owner was a very friendly person who made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the service was excellent. Overall, this restaurant is a great choice for lunch or dinner and I highly recommend it."

"Dinner is not worth the money. FOH was not easy to book with.Everyone was seated at 6:30 but it was another hour before the first plate arrived. We were served 2.5 glasses of wine, 3 oysters, mixed green salad with vinaigrette, crudités, fried green tomatoes, 3 small beef raviolis, braised chicken, chocolate mousse. The chief's introduction covered the local ingredients he was using but none were featured with the exception of the salad and oysters. I expect a tasting to be more original."
