"I've been eating Mexican food all my life, I have a love hate relationship with it. It's everywhere and everyone has a Taco Tuesday. My family has gone to Talpa since it opened, so I might be a little partial, but it might be my favorite Mexican restaurant ever. It's literally had similar decor since I was a kid save for the bar area. Wait staff's service is consistent and good. The menu is small but always solid, a few changes over the years, but quality and execution always excellent. Great food, and a fantastic Michelada. Went for my husband's birthday and had a great time. It is cozy and low key but just right. The food was just like Mama would make. Great salsa but not for beginers, I loved it! Would recommend to anyone who wants something truly authentic.
