"Just the BEST!! Don’t look anywhere else. This place if perfect! My hubs and I stayed in cabin 49 at Tenaya lodge last week for two nights. From the moment we got on property we felt relaxed and at home. Checking in was easy and they let us into our cabin (2 hours early). All the staff we encountered or spoke to were incredibly friendly and very informative.The main lodge itself is beautiful and is tucked away nicely in the woods. This place is a great jumping off point for visiting the park. It’s very close and convenient without being inside the park. Our little cabin was the first in a row of identical cabins on a little driveway- type road so you could pull your car up to your cabin and unload your things without having to lug it from the parking lot (which is not far at all but this is just extremely convenient). The cabins (were we stayed) were set up like a little neighborhood, but each one feels very private. Our cabin was pretty new or just well taken care of. It was clean, roomy comfortable and adorable! The living room/kitchen area has a leather sofa with a pull out couch and a gas fireplace (that works almost too well). Kitchenette has everything you’d need minus a stovetop (great microwave though} Down the hall there are two bedrooms and a good size bathroom. Both bedrooms are roomy and easily sleep two. The master bedroom is a little larger and very cozy and romantic with a view that looks out onto the back porch and pretty backyard woods. The deck is a great size and we spent a lot of quiet time out there on the Adirondack chairs. It is also very private. The cabins are set in a way that you will never see your neighbors (unless you want to). I was greeted with Hersey kisses and rose petals on our bed when we arrived. The lodge offered this and it was sweet and certainly set the tone for our little getaway. I could go on and on.... about this place ... it was that good. The restaurant (the Jackalope) in the lodge is very good. We ate there twice and both times were delicious. Room service wasn’t offered because of the corona virus but you can order and go pick up your food at the main lodge. It was a petty seamless process. Any time we called the front office needing something; extra towels, coffee, creamer, etc.. it came fast and friendly. Everything in the cabin worked and it really felt like a home away from home for a couple days. We can’t wait to get back. Thanks Tenaya! Bravo! See you soon."

"My fiancées and I (and our families) were in town for our wedding at Dom Beach in Yosemite National Park, and we stumbled on this restaurant while exploring the area around Mariposa Grove. We were blown away by the extraordinary service and attention to detail from our server Justin and the restaurant manager who went beyond and beyond to make our meal there special. From acquiring apple wine with fresh cinnamon sticks that ensure that all entrees (including a brand-new chicken sandwich that has just been added to their menu) were top notes for gluten intolerance and vegan people, and even expression sympathy for the recent death of Queen Elizabeth when our server found out that my fiancée lived in Britain? this restaurant has exceeded all expectations! I highly recommend coming by."

"The food quality was much better than expected: from the vegetarian Feta Spinat sandwich to the aubergines zucchini or the chicken wings was all at the point you expect from a beautiful restaurant in a good size town vs Hotel Essen. The one point that wasn't on the standard was how slow the food service was waiting for over 30 minutes. But at least our waiter was kind enough to give us a head halfway. I just wish we were waiting for space during the 20 minutes, would have ordered us to fix this issue."

"We made reservations here for New Year 's Eve dinner with a group of 8. I was looking forward to eating here despite the poor reviews... I should have listened and looked for something else because this was the most disappointing meal I had in all of 2019! The food itself wasn 't too bad... but the service was absolutely terrible! Our server was Thomas and he really didn 't seem to care about providing quality service! Perhaps this was due to the fact that the gratuity was automatically added onto the bill for our large party?? Our reservation was at 730 and we didn 't get out of there until 10pm! (There were about 7-8 other parties in the small dining room with multiple servers) The food came out first starting with the kid 's meals a good 15-20 minutes before the first of the adult 's entrees began coming out. If you want to all eat together DO NOT COME HERE! Eventually the rest of the meals began trickling out here and there... he would bring one table a dish and then one dish to our table. I have no idea who was expediting the tickets but they were horrible at it! It 's completely ridiculous that they sent out some of our party 's food a full hour before others got served! My poor best friend had to eventually ask for her salad around 915 because he completely forgot all about it and just left her sitting there with nothing while everyone else had finally received their meals! I understand that it was New Years, so I expected to wait... I 'm not unrealistic... However, when someone asks for a hot chocolate and you snap I can 't do that right now because I have to get the food out before it gets cold! It 's totally disrespectful! BTW the food was cold anyways, except the proteins because your kitchen can 't get it together to save their lives! Then again when we ask if you can split the check and you reply No I 'm too busy you 'll have to do it yourself! It makes me wonder if you understand what exactly your role as a server entails!?? It was completely unacceptable to treat guests in this manner! The manager did give us a partial credit on our bill, which I guess made things slightly better... I would have ultimately preferred a nice meal and good service though! Just seems like if we 're going to be dropping 400$ on a meal and nearly a thousand dollars on the rooms, you would think they would strive to provide an exemplary experience from the beginning of the stay till the end! Bottom line save your money and frustration and go somewhere that 's actually worthy of your hard earned dollars! I sincerely hope the management at Tenaya addresses the issues presented by the numerous patrons that left feeling as unsatisfied as we did!"

"every time we visit yosemite, we plan a dinner in the buffalo bar. eating is always excellent! I had surfing my man had the fillet mignon. both cooked for perfection! our waitress, cat, was the best! it was very personal, attentive and efficient. the restaurant was busy and she had several other tables, but she ensured that the came out when it was finished. we recommend to eat here when they visit yosemite."
