"I would have given this place two stars but the drinks and service were good. If it was a bar, no food, a 5 star rating at minimum. Staff are super nice and drinks are made with care and balance and technique that would impress John Taffer. The food? I got my empanadas and they looked kind of like pierogi, but who am I to judge. I knew this chef had a good reputation and worked at Great Awakening, which I've always thoroughly enjoyed. Against my better judgement and as a person who can fry food, I tried the empanada. Honestly, the prices are ridiculously expensive for average food with super small serving sizes. The wait time for food is also a bit long, considering what kind of food it is. The inside of the store is decorated nicely.

Great meal. Everything we had was fantastic. The wings were worth every penny and then some. The gringo burrito was top notch. The churros were the most insane churros I’ve had. We started with the sazon rub wings. They were good but could have been more crispy. For our Entrees, we ordered the empanadas and cilantro rice and shrimp street taco. They forgot the cilantro rice. So we didn’t get to try it. The shrimp on the taco was cold. When we asked about it they said it comes cold. I think that should be mentioned before ordering. The empanadas were okay. Not much chicken in it and it wasn’t that tasty . The service was okay but not really friendly. A couple of issues I saw. The bartender would look at her phone while working. Also she was eating food with her hands then went to make a drink with mint leaves. She didn’t wash her hands before touching the mint leaves...

"A place can be good. That's something. Consistency is something different, and grass roots far exceeds that. The only thing that is better than her inappropriate ice cream is the fact that you support a local small company with every purchase. Your customer-centric service and the excellent ice cream is why I come back regularly. Double Oreo is highly recommended! A true Granby and Farmington calendar that I hope to come back in the future."

"Fast and great service, salads with ginger dressing is really good. Portion sizes for rams are large, broth is delicious. I wouldn't recommend ramen noodles as they might seem overcooked? The noodles had sections that were clumped together in a hard chewing way that was very appealing. The cattle breeze that went with him was delicious and soft."

"That was my girlfriend and my first time in the bars. We made Valentine's Day $125. It was a Prix Fixe menu. I did the flank steak and she did the shrimps and scallops. The steak was perfectly cooked. You've been eating the scallops. (I tried a bite, they were delicious). We did the grilled Focaccia and fried oysters, both of which were very good. We made the strawberry cheesecake and lava cake for the desert. The lava cake was by far our favorite. This special came with a bottle of wine. It was a cheap wine, which can be expected for these kinds of specialties. For the price, this meal was definitely worth the money. We love both shells, so we splurged and bought an additional one that is not on the Prix Fixe menu."
