Good food, great atmosphere in a fabulous hotel. Fantastic. Soup and salad were spectacular. The signature soup has been served here since the restaurant was opened in the 1930s. The salad was excellent and our server was friendly enough to share it for us because we wanted. If you travel to Route66/I-40, this is worth stopping time and enjoying a relaxing meal with a great atmosphere. The hotel is amazing and worth visiting.

Great experience that makes lunch here yesterday. We could sit in the lobby and bring our pet. Our server, Erin, was such a pleasure, and made sure that we had an amazing experience and were well looked after, even if we were not in the main restaurant. The complementary maize bread with a caramelized glaze was the best I have ever eaten (picture). Ordered the Calamari for a starter and it was perfectly kicked, with ancillary sauce that had a tasty little zing without being overpowered (picture). We stayed in La Posada for 2 nights and enjoyed dinner and breakfast in this beautifully renovated historic hotel and restaurant. The kitchen is eclectic with southwest influences; However, there are options for all pallets. My favorite interior selections were the Bison short ribs and the famous black bean and corn cahowder. The crepes for breakfast were excellent and not excessively sweet. In the morning we sat at the window and watch the trains pass. The staff was extraordinary? friendly, but professional.
