Water's Edge Restaurant Bar

We had a 5:15pm reservation but arrived at 5:05pm. They weren’t too busy but we waited about 20 mins to get drinks. We ordered our food at the same time. Over an hour later we found out they were out of what my daughter ordered and 15 mins later we got our food (captains platter and a chicken sandwich). The chicken sandwich was ok, no flavor and too thick. The captains platter had a very small piece of fish and some of the worst tasting clams we’ve ever had! Absolutely will never return! We came to visit the boothbay area and stayed next door to the water’s edge. My husband initially wanted to go because there were so many good reviews. He stated that recently there were some bad reviews posted but we decided to swing over for drinks and maybe an app or two just to see how it was. Please go here if you’re on the fence. We ended up sitting at the bar but we interacted with multiple staff in addition to the bartender and everyone was friendly, professional, and helpful.
