"My fiancée and I tried this place today and honestly the whole experience was not great. The front door was open so it was fairly hot in there (even with a fan going… , with the door being open flies got in and they were pestering us nonstop. My fiancée got a corn beef and cheese omelet, pancakes and an English muffin, with coffee. The creamer for the coffee had a weird smell to it and the coffee, Itself was just not very good. The pancakes were over cooked. They had the cheese on the outside of both omelets and they just didn’t look appealing, at all. I got a country omelet with hash browns and toast. The sausage gravy that came on it was nothing I’ve ever seen or tasted before… definitely...

Always good Food. Whether it's eggs overeasy, chicken waffles, a coney w/fries or a fresh salad ots always good. Friendly owner who puts in the work and time to chat with each patron. Staff is quick efficient. A must place to eat in White Lake. NOTE: opens early closes after lunch.

Honestly my family has eaten here multiple times, the breakfast is great! They always do so well with a regular breakfast and my family loves it as well as me, I unfortunately am a HUGE fan of biscuits and gravy with my over medium eggs(instead of hash browns) and I am sorry but I have try this quite a few times thinking that I got a bad batch, but whatever they are calling their sausage gravy is not that at all! Wish they would tweak their recipe for it cause I've NEVER tasted any gravy like this before and hope to NEVER again! But if you like everything but that! Amazing PLACE ?

We were looking for something to eat after an early morning dentist appointment and found this place unexpectedly. The place was almost full so we figured it would be a good choice. Although they were visibly busy, we were greeted as soon as we walked in and then we took a seat at one of the last available tables. The atmosphere was wonderful and the staff were very attentive and friendly. They have the typical diner set up with the open kitchen. "I have a device in my mouth and can't chew. This place has the most delicious soups. I have a cup of Chicken Tortilla and Lemon Rice. The waitress was very nice and let me try the soups before I ordered to make sure I could eat it, unlike any other restaurants I went to. My mother has a burger and it was huge. Our lunch was just $13! Overall- Great food, great service, and not expensive."

"Kruse’s Deer Lake Inn became my favorite restaurant in the area. They have some unique flavors (like their current harvest salad, the candied pecans, apples, bacon, goat cheese and a bacon vinegar that sounds questionable, but is quite delicious). And everything on the menu is great and they have a wide selection of dishes, depending on how I feel (Ribs, parmesan encrusted flounder, fish and chips, black chicken slaughter, Tortellini Pasta with chicken and palomino sauce). You always have a good desert on the menu also (the four berries crucifix is my favorite, and now it is apple crucifix). The service was absolutely amazing every time I was there, and the management was also exceptional."

"I tried Union Woodshop for the first time on my way to a concert at the DTE Energy Music Theatre. The trip to the concert hall was a breeze from here and lasted only about 5-10 minutes and without traffic jams as there are when approaching the other direction. There was a 40-minute waiting time to take place so we had an order that was ready to EXACTLY when it was estimated that it was ready and the order was correct. They were very generous with the containers of the BBQ sauce, which are free on request. This place is ideal for carnivores, vegetarians and vegans. I ordered the Pretender Burger without cheese or Mayo and substituted with vegetarian dirty rice for frits. I tried the Memphis, Lockhart and Koreatown BBQ sauces. They describe Lockhart as “very sharp” but who has lived in TX as I have) will probably not find it at all. It's good! Koreatown reminded me of sweet acid sauce, but you could say it had a lot of fresh ingredients in it. The next day I used my leftovers as a salad dress, but it would be really good with spring rolls or egg rolls. I used the Memphis sauce on both my burger and rice. I am a long-term vegan, but due to time constraints and other factors, I have not asked to check that the rice and the burger bungalow were fully vegan, so if you do not want any chance to consume something non-vegan, you will ask about this and report back). My dining room partner ordered the Coco house salad, which is herzhafter as the typical side salad, as it has chickpeas and it seems to be vegan if without the feta cheese or the dressing that seemed milk or egg based, although it is possible, it is not, but it looked so to me). Some people find the parking situation difficult, but for me it depends on what you are used to. It is much easier than most big cities, but it is in a “hip” area that can be a little busy.
