"Apparently Yama Sushi is a local chain. I'm not sure if one person or a business that owns all of them. There are three locations, this one is the newest and also one of the closer AYCE Sushi spots to the Strip: Located just North of the Strip, heading towards downtown located in a plaza north of the Wynn. Great location IMHO, a nice spot to attract good amount of local and tourist traffic.I was surprised it wasn't all that busy when we came here for dinner. Nothing to complain about...good standard AYCE menu. Our food came out fast, everything tasted fresh and we didn't have any issues with anything. The service was on point; our waitress checked up on us regularly without being bothersome or overbearing; refilled our beverages, took away empty dishes and checked up on us regularly. Wonderful service; fast friendly. The first time I came here; when I ordered the Sweet Shrimp my waitress asked me if I wanted the head of the Sweet Shrimp Fried! I don't recall ever being offered that option before...anywhere!Feeding my #Sushi addiction: UNI (SEA URCHIN) 4/5 GIANT CLAM 4/5 SEAFOOD SALAD (MILD) 4.5/5 Good size! SWEET SHRIMP 4/5 SOFT SHELL CRAB 4/5 SEAWEED SALAD (4/5) EEL 4/5 SCALLOP 4/5 SALMON 4/5 YELLOWTAIL 4/5 HAMACHI (Yellowtail) CARPACCIO 4/5 POKI SALAD 4.5/5 Good size!As usual, I left happy and round...err fluffy. OK...fluffier...So glad this place is close the strip..."

"I have yet to try another hibachi in Winston-Salem that tops this one for me. Kimono is a staple! There are several locations around, including Clemmons, Welcome, and Kernersville, but I'm most familiar with this location. 9 times out of 10, I usually opt for takeout, because hibachi is just one of those meals that is easy to grab and go. If you're going that route, this location does a high volume of takeout, so they've got it down. They're always pleasant on the phone, and I've never had my order be incorrect. And let me tell ya, I get a LOT of takeout from Kimono. I wanted to grab something prior to grocery shopping, so this particular instance I decided to dine in. My mom and I split the Kimono for 2, which is honestly a stellar value. It's $34 total, but this gets you a TON of food. It comes with chicken, steak, shrimp and scallops. No decision making needed here! You can also do rice or noodles, and I love having that option. Both are delicious! You can also do hibachi, teriyaki or spicy teriyaki. I can't remember if you get soup or salad or both, but I know I walked away with another full meal. They do a really nice presentation too. The scallops have a nice little sear, the steak is tender, the chicken is flavorful... it's just good food. This comes out to under $20 a person and I just really don't think you can beat the portions and the prices. The service is always prompt and friendly, and they're good about accommodating bigger parties. I often see a lot of families, so it's definitely family friendly. The parking lot is behind the building."
