"Visited the Mesquite Pit for Saturday lunch. Ordered the Armadillo eggs (very tasty brisket stuffed fried jalapenos) to start, followed by st. Louis style ribs. Party also got chopped beef and pork chop. All the entrees were delicious. Of the sides, themashed potatoes, onion rings, and green beans were standouts. And the bread is delicious! Awesome atmosphere and huge portionswill not disappoint. 5/5 can't wait to return."

"Always delicious we have been enjoying Bells BBQ for some time now, they really seem to be hitting their stride the 1st visit or 2 there were minor issues but a food gets better every time and as we explore the menu and try new things I can honestly say weve never had anything that has disappointed us! Brisket and pulled pork seem to be the favorites the catfish is amazing...Personally addicted to the sweet potato mash and the Buffalo cauliflower should be it's own food group.... Don't even get me started on the housemaid pickles Every time we visit we find a new delectable nugget of goodness to try Run don't walk you won't be disappointed especially if your barbecue snob they nailed it !"

"We live nearby and visit this HEB almost daily. We have been here once before and its been awhile so we went one night. One thing that was frustrating was trying to order beer/spirits. There is no bar menu near the regular menus by the bathrooms. Nor is there one on the boards above the registers where you place your order. Once we get up front (where we have a line behind us waiting). We had to ask about the bar menu. They had one at the registers but this doesn't help as we didn't want to make everyone else wait for us to look and choose. So we skipped and ordered our food only. While waiting for our food we did try to order a drink. The only way you can is by going to the bar and ordering one. We ordered the chicken and beef fajitas as well as the salmon. The salmon was a little dry to us, but not bad. We still enjoyed it. We were surprised the fajitas didn't come with any cheese as you always seem to get cheese when you order fajitas anywhere else. We didnt bother to ask and bother anyone regarding it. The food was good and we enjoyed the drink. We both felt it was better the previous time we came but we will come back again to try other food items and drinks off the bar menu. It is a nice clean place. Plenty of seating in and out. Overall. We would recommend anyone else to stop sometime and try them out."

"I'm sorry they were from the menu item, burned ending, to peak-current Friday at 19 o'clock. they replaced it with brisket in burned end sauce. the brisket was hard and hard as a boot and should not have been served. the greetings and the staff were friendly, but in luck they did not ask me how to eat, because for $20 meal I would have told them the truth"
