"We have been to Campo Sparks several times over the past couple of years. Each time, I keep hoping that it will be a better experience. However, I remain disappointed. Each time, it’s nothing horrendous, but just enough to make you wish that you had gone elsewhere. This time, we recommended Campo Sparks to friends for dinner. It was interesting that both we – and they checked on the website for the menu to do a little advance preparation for ordering. Both of us realize, however, that the actual menu once we got to the restaurant was a bit different. No big deal. After we ordered, our friend received a cup of minestrone soup which was just lukewarm. He tried to hail a server ours was missing in action, although she had been very attentive in the beginning to tell her about the soup. He finally succeeded in getting someone’s attention, who brought him another cup of soup –but it, also, was just warm – not hot. When it last art server return to our table, she promptly got him a cup of hot soup. For six dollars, however, we were both disappointed in the serving size (I ordered a cup of the same soup for myself) even though my soup, when delivered, was actually hot as it should be. I ended up ordering several different things off the menu – although the spaghetti immediately caught my attention. I didn’t order it, because, once you completed the dish with meatballs, it was $20 A bit high for spaghetti and meatballs, anywhere outside of Wolfgang Puck‘s. Every time we have arrived at the restaurant including the first time we went there, when the host told us that they had no record of our reservation even though my wife had confirmed that same day the host at the front has been less than energetic and cheerful. This may be our last visit."

"Was quite disappointed, our first time in this Chihuahua and our last. I love Mexican cuisine, grew up in SoCal, and my wife and I are constantly looking for great places to eat. We were in the original Chihuahua's in Winnemucca for breakfast and the food, service, etc was all excellent so we were excited to go to the local for dinner. Our problems started to sit. We had a reservation and waited. After I noticed that a few who went in a few minutes after arriving and had no reservations placed on the waiting list and then sitting in front of us, I went to the desk and pointed out that they immediately sat us, and they sat us in a walkway when there were tables in the area that were not on the way. We hoped the food would stop the night. We ordered our dinner, my wife always gets a Chile Relleno and cheese Enchilada dinner, she was not impressed, said they were both Bland. She only ate a few bites of Enchilada before they give up and maybe ate half of the Rellenos. I have a burrito. I didn't think the Burrito had much taste. The menu said the Burrito had Carne Asada, but it was really only ground hamburgers and I couldn't taste a taste in the meat except how to taste hamburgers. Carne Asada will be presumed to be marinated and is usually grilled to supplement taste, then is diceed, or cut strips, not ground. The only real plus points this night were the waiter was really nice and did a great job. And the margaritas were pretty good. Fortunately, we have other options for good MX food in the area."
