"We have been coming to the La Jolla Cover many times but never had a chance to try this restaurant. Since we had friends from out of town, we want to have them experience Southern California dining with an ocean view. Besides the spectacular view, we had some good service from our waiter. Even though we didn?t have a reservation, we were accommodated right away with a good view of the ocean. The server promptly took our orders for drinks and introduced us to their favorite food. I was a bit concerned seeing bad Yelp reviews on the food. But we got some delicious selections. The soufflé French toast was so fluffy and sweet which was one of my favorites. The naughty burrito was also very tasty. The fillings were so flavorful. Another good dish here is the burger. My friend got the burger and he loved it for its flavor and texture on the meat. Despite been in the expensive area of San Diego, the prices of the food were fairly reasonable. The average price for each dish is around $12-$15. Overall, it was a good experience for us and our friends. After a great outing at one of San Diego?s best scenic spots, it?s refreshing to get some food with a view and recharged."
