"We were there to celebrate two birthdays. Beautiful setting in historic mountain top Lodge. It is a resort style setting with a very professional staff appropriate for the setting. Not really a restaurant you would frequent given its rather remote setting, but clearly a cool place to spend a weekend. The food was very good and well prepared and presented. The only flaws were some out of season things the chef should try to steer clear of, i.e., the buratta appetizer was excellent but the tomatoes were disappointing (as one would expect in January). The mascarpone was delicious but the figs were bland and lacked sweetness (a drizzle if honey would have made me forget). My pork chop was sizable and perfectly prepared, the fish dish was delicious but a little undersized. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly and vegetarians would not be disapointed with the well seasoned cauliflower steak. Coming up with something more in season would have made the meal perfect. The price tag is on the high end but they comped two birthday desserts, which was nice. Overall, while not spectacular everything was pretty solid. Would definitely return."
