"We take out ordered four dozen wings and a California cheeseburger cooked medium. Wings were WAY overdone and as was the VERY over cooked cheeseburger. To top it off, we ordered the cheeseburger NOT to have ANY mayonnaise. Besides the dry, hard and overcooked wings and cheeseburger, the cheeseburger was HEAVILY lathered in mayonnaise FAR above what might normally be put on anything. It actually was leaking mayonnaise out all sides of the burger when unwrapped at home. We heard the place does not care how you order food because the cook it how THEY want to cook it and do not care what the customer wants. We found the warning to be true. Save your money and go ANYWHERE but here. Or, bring a heavy duty saw to cut through your order ?"

"I stopped in with my wife to see if this placed changed in the growing years. Ever since it was named Mountain gate i came here with my family growing up and had not been back since 88 spices came and gone now its keystone. Now to the present i have to say i was not impressed the place is dated and so out of its time everything except the gift shop area was the same as i was growing up the plates the cups the seats booths everything was the same. Even stains over time on the plates would not come clean. Cracks in the side of the drinking cups. I say this with true saying this place is more better for the elderly than young to middle aged people. The kitchen staff was out wiping down as i was getting a salad she literally growled because i switched her places to get bacon bits i understand that she just cleaned so i was careful not to spill anything. But i wont be back as this is not the place for me anymore this place used to be great years past its a shame how it had gone down hill."

"This place is a DC institution for all of the right reasons. It's family-run, completely unpretentious, friendly, and snug. As long as you're not a jerk this place is warm and inviting, and the food's great, as are the prices. I've been coming to Jimmy T's for going on nine years now, and the only complaints have been with annoying DC-types who just don't get it. Cindy and John and their children and staff are like a quirky second family to anyone who will let them be. I'm still amazed, and very happy, that a place like this exists in DC. Come in and see them sometime!"

"Walked in, and the host asked how many then directed us to a booth without even asking if we wanted a booth a table or sit outside and didn’t speak. Our waitress was nice and friendly, but never came back to ask about our food or see if we needed anything else or try to upsell us on desserts, coffee or more beers. The crabcakes would’ve been very good if they would not have been deep fried versus grilled on a flat top like the picture on the menu showed. I would never eat here again."
