"This placed used to be one of our favorite restaurant in the area. We started going from the time they opened. Back when they had to remove the taps from the booths! Nothing could compare. Then Covid hit, which was bad for everyone. However, Hazelwood was able to remodel and open 2 additional restaurants during Covid, which is wonderful. But, I think they lost some of their small, hometown, people oriented perspective during that time. Prices have gone up, which is understandable. I get that things cost more these days. It's just that there used to be house wines, happy hours, birthday treats... now nothing! There is no incentive for the customer anymore, only higher prices. The customers' cost of living has been impacted as well. Is it too much,for a restaurant that has remodeled and opened 2 more restaurants, to at least acknowledge a birthday with a scoop of ice cream? Or have a house wine that doesn't cost $10 a glass for 5 tablespoons of wine? My coworkers used to always want to go to Hazelwood after work because they had such a great happy hour, but now we go to the other places in the area since they do not have a happy hour deal any more. I'm torn because other places in the area have great happy hour deals, but the food is not as good. There needs to be some incentive for the customers as well. Something that makes them feel they are getting a deal or treated special, instead of just being raked for I just feel bad that what was once our favorite spot doesn't feel like they value the customers as much as they used to."
