"Lao Sze Chuan is a genuine Szechuan Chinese restaurant that serves fresh and well-prepared dishes with generous portions. Unlike typical tourist spots, the food here is not overloaded with heavy sauces. The chef pays close attention to customers' preferences and even came to our table to confirm ingredients. I have visited Chinatown numerous times and was introduced to two different menus: authentic Chinese home-style and Americanized versions. It's worth noting that they do not offer fortune cookies in China. I highly recommend Lao Sze Chuan and will definitely be returning. Ignore any negative comments, as our experience was fantastic."

"Another of these better than expected Chinese places in a suburb without any other places to go besides it. If you like some fairly good food for cheap prices then come here at lunch. Jade Dragon may be the only place in Hinsdale to get Chinese but it's not bad overall. Certainly it's better than it appears. The food comes out pretty fast and has some decent flavor. Came here for lunch recently and ate inside. I thought it looked kind of lame inside, because it looked a lot like a small town cafe more than a Chinese restaurant. This shows you can't judge completely before getting served. It turned out to not be that bad. They give you free tea. We chose to each share the Spicy Fresh Tofu. It's $9.75 for the only portion, the large. The tofu isn't the firm kind we liked but it was still good flavor and spicy. Big portion for what it costs. If around we could come back here. This isn't anything unlike other Chinese places but if you're around it's okay for lunch and takeout."
