"We do not know why some of the reviews for this place are less than stellar. We had the pad Thai the pineapple Fried Rice, both were delicious. We had tons of Thai food up there! The atmosphere is missing, but this is all that is missing. Try this!"

"My 6 person family came here after UO 2023 graduation since all the restaurants close to campus were super busy. We've never been but we love thai food and found this place on Yelp. I ordered the massaman curry with tofu, which I requested vegan, and it came with rice. I ordered medium spice level and it was pretty spicy but still so delicious! It came with tofu, peanuts, carrots and potatoes in the curry and I loved the flavor of the dish. They also had lots of options they could make vegan for me! My sister got the tom kha soup, made vegetarian with tofu, and that was my favorite dish we ordered. The soup was so savory and creamy and delicious! My other family members loved their food as well, and we all had lots of leftovers.Our server was super friendly and quick. I called about availability for 6 and he set aside a table for us. When we arrived 10 minutes after the phone call, a table was already set up waiting for us with silverware and menus which we really appreciated! The ambiance is pretty casual and relaxed, with friendly staff, a large menu, and delicious food. They have a cute old-timey feeling with barstool seating and fun colors on the walls. There's lots of street parking around and it's located in downtown Springfield. The prices were cheater than other Thai restaurants I've been to in Eugene, with very comparable food. I'd recommend giving this spot a try for some amazing Thai food!"

"The china bear is a typical express Asian restaurant. When you first go in you might wonder if they are still in business, but don 't let this scare you, they are. The decor is old and could use a up date, but I don 't eat decor , it would be nice, but I 'm there for the food. I ordered Curry chicken combo. I usually stay away from curry 's at express restaurants. But I wanted some curry today and this is where I was at. A little aside here, why is it so hard to make a good curry? Its basically coconut milk and curry paste. The china bear 's curry was like most express restaurants way too heavy on the cheap curry powder. It had curry 's sharp spicy bite to it with out any of the sweet taste that a 'good ' curry has. Over all not bad, but I will leave the curry making to the more traditional Indian and Thai restaurants. Ok I 'm off my soap box. The fried rice was just 'stickie ' enough it had the nice nutty flavor I expect and the combo came with a good egg roll. Will I be back, yea, I just will skip the curry and try something else. I noticed the reviews were either good or very bad for the china Bear. The staff was friendly and the food I saw other patrons eating looked good. Some of the post were, well, hard to believe. I think a second visit is needed, and I 'm just the little boy to do it! PS I 'll take more photos !"

"Awesome.. First, let's be clear: it's a BUFFET. Now, as buffets go, you can't do better. They are so packed all the time that they just recently raised their prices. Lunch is now $10, and dinner is $15. TOTALLY worth every penny. There are about 10 full buffet tables of various dishes, plus a sushi bar, plus a Mongolian bbq, hot tea, the works. And most of the food is WAY above average. I mean, if Hometown Buffet can stay in business, this place should have a line around the block 24/7. We eat here a couple of times a month, and I always take family here when they visit. The dining rooms are gigantic, and it is a great atmosphere to nibble, nosh, chat, and eat, eat, eat. Great selection of desserts, variety of foods, something for everyone. There is a good reason this place is always packed."
