"For 15 years, we have been making the trip from NYC to indulge in the delicious cakes at this bakery. The chocolate mousse and strawberry shortcake are our favorites, incredibly moist and not overly sweet. The pound cakes are also wonderfully moist. Since moving to Long Island, the 3-4 hour round trip has made it challenging to visit this bakery. We didn't realize how good Sorrento is until we tried other popular bakeries on LI, none of which compare. Sorrento has set the bar too high, and we are now spoiled. It would be great if they opened two locations on LI, they would dominate. It's important to note that the cake pictured is a day old, it is still moist but not as good as when enjoyed on the same day."
