"There are not fifty Chinese restaurants in Bridgeport as claimed by another reviewer but there are certainly a dozen or so. There are also quite a few in the the surrounding towns of Trumbull, Stratford, and Shelton. I have sampled a fair number of them. I also worked just a few blocks from Panda for many years and ate lunch there every couple of weeks. For what it's worth, this is my absolute favorite basic Chinese takeout in the area. Chicken in Chinese takeout places can be iffy. At Panda, it always seems to be fresh, perfectly cooked, wonderfully seasoned, and never covered with slippery stuff as is often the case. Vegetables are also always fresh and never overcooked. The basic chicken with broccoli is the best I've ever had. Also, be sure to try the Special Fried rice which is a meal in itself. Beef dishes are also great, always tender and never laden with unchewable sinew. Basic egg rolls are phenomenal, never saturated with oil. The front is run by Cindy, who is a no nonsense professional. I've never seen her foul up an order. Although I no longer work nearby, when it's time for a Chinese food fix, after sampling most of the restaurants closer to me, I continue to drive 10 plus miles to make sure my Chinese takeout night is the best that it can be."
