"When it comes to your Nuddle, you gotta use it or lose it! Nuddlehaus is a new Asian Fusion noodle shop, conveniently located right off the 605, in Lakewood. After hours hours of line dancing the night before, my body was craving some soothing soup for the soul Nuddlehaus popped into my head, being a place which I haven't tried yet that serves soup. As mentioned before, Nuddlehaus is an Asian Fusion noodle shop. The restaurant seems to be Cambodian centric, but pho is also on the menu. Thai boat noodles used to be on the menu, but wasn't when I went there. Seeing the advantageous opportunity of dining on Cambodian food, while not having to travel deep into the heart of Long Beach, I knew the Phnom Penh noodles (dry) were what piqued my culinary interest. Phnom Penh noodles (dry) The dry portion was very delicious satisfying. With traditional Khmer noodles, ground pork, fishballs, fish cake, liver, green onion cilantro, the fat the subtle hint of sweetness made for a flavorful dish. The optional bean sprouts lime accentuated the deliciousness. The wet portion, was a tad disappointing. The reason being the broth. It was very light, to the point of being bland. I made sure to taste it prior to adding anything, and it was watery. I've had Phnom Penh noodles once before, and the dipping soup should be condensed very hearty. The thick hunks of bone helped improve the quality with all the collagen fat, but I had to add a liberal dousing of sambal chili, vinegar, pepper flakes etc., to make the soup just right, both in terms of flavor heat preference. After dipping till I got to about half the dry portion, I just figured why waste time combined the two, which turned out just fine. Pho Special (meatball, tendon, tripe, beef) Nuddlehaus' pho special hit the right notes of what a to go bowl of piping hot pho should be. A little perturbed due to the lack of rare steak, the meatballs, tendon, tripe thin slices of beef made for a comforting dinner later on. Vegetarians, don't fret! Nuddlehaus has a veggie broth substitute for any soup dish, served with choice of baby bok choi or Napa cabbage. Service was good. I came in and sat down, which the friendly female employee informed me I order/pay first, then the food will be brought out once ready. A fair amount of seating via handsome wood tables, chairs benches, Nuddlehaus is a quaint eatery, not a place for large groups. Parking can be hard to come by in the private lot, shared with Cassidy's, a UPS store, 7 Eleven etc. More parking is available by the Arco station. Street parking available, just not on Del Amo Blvd. Nuddlehaus is a respectable new addition to the neighborhood. While the soup paired with the Phnom Penh noodles didn't meet expectations, a little jury rigging with the condiments on hand helped create a pleasing noodle experience. I'm happy there's a source for Cambodian cuisine very close to home, and I have designs to try the student noodle upon next visit. Highly recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM"
