"Came here for dinner as my family in the local area suggested we come. We tried to come a few other previous times, but the wait was long without a reservation. Luckily, we were able to get in on a Saturday night without reservations. I was a little hesitant as many times these hibachi places are more about the show than the quality of food. However, the food here was pretty good. Came in and was quickly able to get seated in the general restaurant area since we weren't doing the hibachi experience. Ordered several sushi rolls as that's easy to share and allows everyone to try a little bit of everything. Also ordered the sushi boat as wanted to really taste the sushi and it came with many different cuts of sushi nigiri and sashimi. Sometimes it's hard to tell the quality of sushi in rolls as there's so many other ingredients and toppings. The sushi bar was right behind us, so was able to see the quality of the fish in the case and how it was being prepared. All the sushi came out quickly and looked good. They didn't have the actual boat, so just brought it out on a platter. The rolls were good and what you would expect. I can't remember the names as we were just calling them out. The individual items that were easier to taste were the soft-shelled crab and the eel. I preferred the soft-shelled crab over the eel, but both were good. As far as the sushi, they were both good in quality and freshness. They had the right amount of fats and oils in higher quality sushi. I was impressed as didn't expect this quality from a hibachi restaurant. Service was fast and attentive. Overall, good food and service that exceeded my expectations."

"When it comes to AYCE sushi, i recommend that dine-in should be your only option. Having said that, I actually would give this resto 3.6 rating (since I cant, i just truncate my rating). I was happily surprised that they had appetizers on the AYCE menuthat most places dont provide such as the fried oyster (salty, hot, plump and fresh) and seaweed salad (my favorite). The appsare small but its an AYCE so sample a few and re-order more of your faves. The nigiri was fresh and draped over the rice whichwas really good and flavorful. However, some of the maki rolls had too much rice compared to their fish/veg ingredients. Andon one of the rolls, the rice was too dry. But overall, the rolls was flavorful and really worth the price. Just order a fewat a time, the wait for your food was not long at all (went during early dinner 530p on a Sunday). Will be back when the sushicraving strikes again."

"I don't think this place uses fresh fish. Felt the fish was from a manager special section of the outgoing seafood section of Stater Bros. Advance supermarket sushi over this place. I couldn't finish the reels and sushi because the fish was pretty bad. The fish including tuna and salmon looked like a sponge and texture was the same. The rice is muddy and there? There was no taste. I would recommend buying instant yakisoba from supermarkets, as they taste about 18 times better."

"This was the worst sushi I have had in a long time. I ordered a salmon roll, tuna roll, salad and water. They brought me a bottle of water, I had to ask them specifically for tap water. A little shady, but no big deal. Then the sushi came. The rolls were about 60% rice, with a small piece of fish in the middle, not good. When the bill came, they charged me for the water anyway. When I told the staff, she stated scanning the table, apparently to see if I really had the water but was lying. The finally removed the charge, but the bill was the same! The were determined to get that two dollars from me, so the decided to charge me for the tea now. Enjoy the two dollars, I will never be back."

"Every item at Fujiyama 's has been outstanding. The service and consistency of freshness is expected. All the custom rolls are to die for. The Russ Roll, Crazy Tuna Roll and Garzilla Roll are some of my favorites. The sashimi is the best in Middle TN, south of Nashville. Such a slice of asian culture and healthy food? It 's one of our finest restaurants in the Columbia and surrounding areas. Make time to enjoy it. You 're not just filling up that hunger hole, here. Good people, good service, good food. If you think you don 't like sushi, get a Garzilla roll as an appetizer. It 's a deep fried roll with the hint of sushi, but the reassurance of having been not only cooked , but fried. Don 't miss Fujiyama 's."
