"I first learned of Abu's Bakery in 2012 but didn't make it to New York til 2016. It was my first time there and this bakery was one of the first places I went to. I had never had bean pie and I told myself if I ever did, this would be the place I'd get it. They did not disappoint, it was worth the wait, the pie was incredible. The people were friendly and this place will forever be remembered as one of best parts of a wonderful time in Brooklyn. Recently I learned that you can order online and they shipped 24 pecan and bean pies down to Kentucky. They were wonderful, and it was cool to be able to share them with friends and family.
