"Over the years we have lived in East County, we have tried many different Mexican restaurants. My daughter discovered Rita years ago – and when I first tasted her beans, I actually grew nostalgic. They tasted just like my mothers! My parents owned a taco shop in the 70s and my mother's bean recipe was so delicious! Do you think – really? It's BEANS! But the more recipes you try – the more you come to appreciate excellence. So it was very fitting when my daughter's sister chose Rita in the law to make the baby shower that we sneak for my grandson last weekend. She ordered potato, chicken and beef rolled tacos, rice, beans, chips, guacamole, salsa and spicy carrots/peffer. We had the chafing dishes ready and when the server arrived – she set everything up for us. She arrived on time, was pleasant and friendly and the food smelled so good! Everything was delicious! It was a HUGE hit and the left over chips, stored in a Ziploc bag – are still fresh and crispy 3 days later! You're the best chips I've ever had! I knew my daughter was a big fan of Rita – but now I too!"
