"As I mentioned, I've been on a real Malaysian kick lately. I suggested one night that we go to Satay where I was very many years ago, and DLS was a game for the quick ride from my place to East Flushing location. Our meal began with an order of Roti Canai, a thin, crepe like pancakes, which, if well done, is chewing, soft, but crispy in stains. This was definitely a very good Roti, served with one side of light spicy curry for diving. For vegetables we ordered green beans with belacan, a dried shrimp paste that smells extremely fragrant and almost fishy. The green beans were perfectly slightly crisp, but cooked by and the shrimp paste added a really nice dimension to the dish, a bit of umami and the stinging flavor was great. DLS always wanted to try 'har mee ' (also known as udang mee), so we ordered this. This was the only missing person of the night that no one liked us so much; although it was not especially spicy, it was not especially"
