"Tasty Thai dishes! Best I have ever had from takeout. Fresh veggies and full of flavor. Over the past year, I have tried all the Thai vegetarian options and several of the seafood as well. I am a foodie and believe Golden Empire is a terrific place for reliable, fresh, and satisfying takeout. Very easy to order online. Never had the Chinese food and never sat inside so unable to speak to those aspects. The man is very friendly. The woman does not smile much."

"Spicy as hell! If you are looking for spicy Chinese food then this is the place to go to! There were an unbelievable number of choices on the menu so if you don 't know what to order, I recommend reading the reviews OR going with someone who 's been there before. There 's a 'fresh ' chicken dish that 's outstanding! The portions are manageable so order several dishes to get a good sampling. Also, expect a long wait especially if you come with a group. The restaurant is popular with locals AND tourists... I definitely expect to go again if I 'm in the neighborhood!"

"The hubby and I found this place by chance looking for a place to sit and eat at. I was little worried when we first walked in because it was us and 6 other people dining in. But I will say to take into account that it was a Tuesday evening. I will say that I was very impressed! I ordered the beef and string bean combination with pork fried rice. I have to say that it was the best pork fried rice and beef and string beans that I have had in a very long time! They served us a lot of food and I had the rest for lunch the following day! It still tasted fresh! Listen....this place isn't a fancy spot and they don't sell alcohol, but if you're looking for some oldschool tasting nyc chinese food! This is your place! I will definitely be going back soon!"
