"A classic uptown, diving NW DC bar in a local community on the 14th street. This bar is the quintessential landing area for a handicraft beer, good food, casual atmosphere and friendly staff. My first impression of this place is the visual language reminds of a modern day Cheers Bar (if you are familiar with the old TV Sitcom from the 80s). Nothing in this place is pretentious. The personnel and the cartridges are very down to Earth and the demographics are similar to the variety you would expect from a developing DC population. They provide a variety of national, imported and locally handmade can beers. Their beer selection is really quite impressive and they have practically any kind of beer you would want from Americans, Lagators, Wheat, European Ae, IPA and even apple wines. Your food is also top Tier Bar food. I was impressed by how detailed the kitchen stoves were with the burgers and fries. They were very much cooked to order and had no taste or freshness. Overall a good experience. If you are looking for one from the beaten path, Uptown Bar will try this place."
