"the Thanksgiving menu was pretty good and quite generous in portions, but was overpriced compared to other menu choices. I was surprised that a 18% tip was automatically added to the bill! I can understand if there is a big group, but there were only two of us. the bill came to $86 and there were no drinks involved (only water). it should be the choice of the diner how much to tap. there is no incentive that the waiting staff makes a good job when they know they get a healthy tipp. in future I wonder before I make a reservation. if a set tip is enforced, I will dinate elsewhere."

"Went on here on the recommendation of my barber and wasn’t disappointed. Having never been to the Philippines and not having any Filipino family I had no idea what to order so my buddy and I went for the platter and as an aftertizer (since we were coming from a hike) we ordered the pork belly. Will for sure be back and in the meantime I’ll be searching the internet for some Filipino staples to try!"

"Fast service and the pork adobo that I had was nothing less than delicious!! The restaurant was cool on this 90+ degree day! The clientele during my visit was largely Filipino ... That speaks volumes about the authentic food served here. My only complaint was that the lunch portion was too large ... But for under $8.00 for lunch I never said a word to the staff. I've been in NYC for 3 days now ... Best food I've eaten since arriving!"

"Before my partner and I went to dinner, I double checked as to what time they close since it's a Sunday. I called them ahead of time and I was told it was 8:30 pm. We arrived at 7:15 pm. When my partner and I arrived for dinner, we took our seats and the QR code for the menu wasn't scanning on our table. I thought it was something minor so I let it go. We ordered the following: large misua soup, bulalo, and beef steak. 5 minutes later, server is asking what type of topping to put on the misua soup. That was a red flag. Server should've asked this in the first place at the time we placed our orders. I asked the server to refill the water and she placed the pitcher on the table instead. Another red flag. Throughout this whole ordeal I asked the server if this is a new management..and she said it was. They've been in the business for over a year. It's almost 8:00 pm and not sure if it was the owner, but she walked to the kitchen (we're seated right next to it) and said how come they (us) still don't have any food? The chef said in Tagalog they didn't have the ingredients and they don't have it available and waved his hand at me with a smile on his face...as if I didn't understand Tagalog. My partner and I stood up and left the place with disgust. I said if you don't have the stuff we ordered, what are we doing here waiting this whole time??? So my question is...how were they going to make the 3 dishes I ordered for? The broth itself (bulalo) takes over an hour to soften the meat. It's clearly a new management now and it's literally NIGHT AND DAY. I was extremely embarrassed because my partner who is not Filipino wants to try Filipino food and this is not a great example at all. I would've never visited this establishment if I knew it was going to be like this and was under a new management. The previous owners were NEVER like this!!! The new management clearly has no experience when it comes to customer service or proper basic manners. I feel like they have no experience in the business field whatsoever. It's like watching that show Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsay. My biggest advice: SAVE YOUR MONEY AND AVOID THIS PLACE."

"I want to give 5 stars, but something threw me off this restaurant. First, the food was delicious. The disappointing part was not the waitress attentive to me and my guest during the stay. It was just her convenience. We waited 12min until we flattened them. It wasn't full at all. I felt we were neglected because we are not Filipino. Customer service has a great influence on the experience. I'm ready to try it again at a later time. To see if it is a unique experience."

"We haven't eaten at this location for many years since we usually go to Kalesa down the street. But we wanted to give it a try again and everything was delicious! We ordered the the Nilaga Bulalo- soup with beef shank and marrow, bok choy, potato, and green beans and the garlic fried chicken and the miki bihon guisado- pancit with a mixture of thick and thin noodles, shrimp, chicken and vegetables. We were seated right away and the table service was quick. The prices were reasonable as well. We may alternate with Kalesa and Barrio Fiesta!"

"I went to this restaurant yesterday with a friend. the food we ordered but was delicious, which I didn't like was that I was calculated extra for eating, then what is on the menu on their website. an additional fee was on my bill for a drink I had not ordered, but when I talked to one of the waiters, he was polite and gave me a dose juice. And I got automatically 20% satisfaction, which was $10.12! What's going on with these people, they are a demolition! when the waiter brought me the bill, and I started to go through it, he asked me to read me as if I had been distracted. after they had charged everything he did to forget my credit card, and when I got it back, it was without the entry. in the meantime, the bank had the entrance curved and thrown him out, so when I asked for it and got him in this, I found him strange. they work in tandem to tear you off, I never go back!"

"Worst customer service ever! Pre-ordered for Thanksgiving food to be picked up for noon. Got there at 12:05 and the food wasn’t even ready and they told us that it will take another 40 minutes. No choice but to wait since that’s our planned Thanksgiving meal! And the person on the counter has the NO SENSE of customer service! I overheard him to make my orders right away because I was mad, NO IDEA that it was them who messed up for not planning the pre-order with their usual crowd."

"I brought my mother to a place where we haven't been for a long time. The service was good. We had the appetizer Sampler, Adobo Combo, seafood palabok, and ordered some Bulalo to go. I'm glad they offered brown rice for my diabetic mother. However, I found both the Adobo combo and the seafood palabok something too salty for my mother to eat."
