"this was a bittersweet experience in la strega, and the first that was less than stellar. we started with the cäsar, farroto and skallops small plates that were all satisfactory (the skallops, though small, were particularly tasty), but neither entree (rigatoni with bolognese and enten cacciatore) were enjoyable. the duck was usually bone with very little salty meat, the polnta seemed watery and difficult to locate among the pieces of the duck, and there was no identifiable olives, only a few halved cirschtomaten in garnel. Unfortunately, none of us made it particularly appetit. the rigatoni with the wild bolognese and nduja bolognese was in order, but perhaps only a bad choice compared to other meals we had in this restaurant. we chose the torta di ricotta limon for dessert. it was dressed with an excessive amount of thymian and a minimum amount of sauce. the service was missing unexpectedly. Although our server promised much at the beginning of the meal, he was not particularly helpful in menu questions and did not return until dessert, even after we had told him that we wanted to order for the gast glasses wein. other staff was wonderful, refilling water frequently. Overall, I am willing to create this up to a curse, perhaps this seasonal menu was not for us, and our waiter was overly busy. I hope for a better experience next time."
