"ok, I have a mixed review for cody’s bistro. my man and I stumbled on an evening about this little gem and our first first visit was awesome. the cocktails, eating and service were top notch, and we were taken back by everything. Unfortunately, this recent visit was somewhat disappointing. we had my parents in the city together for our Christmas season, and that was the place where I chose for our dinner reservations. I received over 6 phone calls from the bistro confirm and RE confirm our reservation in the night, I received 2 calls maybe 5 minutes away from each other. there was obviously a communication violation between the personal and the management. I appreciated the succession, but it became redundant after the 4th and 5th call. it was also san marcus conclusion and when we sat, we were very disappointed that the menu was not what we expected. the menu we looked at on the line was not what we were given this evening. I fully understand that adjustments have been made to accommodate the entire restaurant this evening; but, above all in consideration of the time of the year, and that the patrons are most likely on the look for a special evening so that the customers know that the menu would have been minimal would have been of the venue. the cocktails were deelish, I absolutely loved the natural mystic, the combination of balsamic vinegar and fresh basilikum with the ginger ale, was magical, but my mothers dish from black trout was served with yellow rice, which was crispy. I would have understood al dente, but this portion was hard to chew. we will give cody's further attempt, but we were easily discouraged on 16 December."

"Writing this review as I just left. First, the food is exceptional in its taste, this review is intended to reflect a likely fluke experience. Just moved tot he neighborhood and looked up nearby spots. Came across Pie Tap and saw the amazing reviews and came at 3:50 pm. The place was virtually empty, just me and three others, during a weekday. Within 6 minutes I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich and an aperol. The aperol came within a minute, but the sandwich came nearly 57 minutes later. I asked the server on a couple occasions if he could check on my order. He came back on the first ask and said the printer in the kitchen ran out of paper, so they never received the order. Yet, after asking him about my order he went to the computer screen and spent a couple minutes on it then rushed to the open kitchen….so I’m guessing he forgot. Even after putting it in late, I had to check on it twice more. It wasn’t until a manager finally asked me if I needed anything that I hangrily said “my food”. For me, the reason I am compelled to write this review is that I sat in Pie Tap for 1.45 hrs, had two drinks, and a very delayed sandwich, and despite the entire staff recognizing they flubbed my order, didn’t even offer a discount. Would I go back, perhaps. But that was ridiculous. I worked in management at a restaurant for several years, and if you want to show your apology for creating bad service, you should comp or discount the check….not just repeatedly apologize for something that was well within your control. This review is a reflection of my venting after being disregarded as a patron. Pie Tap, I’d advise you talk to your team about caring more."
