"My friend and I went here yesterday for Cinco de Mayo. It was insanely busy, standing room only with people waiting out the door. And why? Because it's worth it! The food and drinks were fantastic, but the service was beyond expectation! With so many people the staff remained friendly and attentive. Orders were remembered and arrived within reasonable time. Everyone loved the mariachi band, us as well. It was a great night and I hope to return on a regular day to try more from the menu!"

"We ordered our food to go and when we got home, we discovered the only thing they got right was one of the sodas. When we called to tell them they messed up our whole order and asked for some kind of compensation, they said they couldn't do that. They did offer to replace the meals but we would have to drive all the way back there to get it which is not close to us. This place lost all my business and I will not be recommending it to anyone l know."

"We found this restaurant during the Kovid. Then we took a lot. We also often supported them to get great food and service. This recent experience has disappointed us. Service and food were missing. We may try again because we really liked her, but it was so different than a few months ago that we might not. The cost of everything has so skyrocketed that if I go out I want to enjoy one or the other, the food or service. I understand that I was a server myself, I understand that I am shorthanded, but none of these things seems to be the problem. I hope they did it!"

"Wasn't here in a few years... He recognized some employees to have a loyal team. They're all so nice. I felt regular because they treat everyone like a relative who just came into town. The service is crazy. I ordered a meal that was much too big and Alex (must be the manager) came over and went through how to share it with the family, how they want to get home and heat it, etc. Didn't even mention the food so well. Chips will crawl on you and you will have 100 too many when the words “meat juice” mean everything you will be happy. I thought the bill was a mistake, but it's just really cheap. Go!"

"El Loro Mexican Restaurant was a wonderful experience for me and my family. The interior of the restaurant is clean, family-friendly and very firm and beautiful. We enjoyed our meal outside. The free chips and dives are average. The Pozole meal was very large and delicious. The Enchiladas Verdes were so delicious and tasteful. The rice on the side was good. The little salad was good, but I prefer a greener option than iceberg salad. The cheese quesadillas are amazing! The chicken and cheese quesadilla was good. The Burgers and Pommes were great. The servers were fantastic! We were very happy. We look forward to another meal at El Loro Mexican Restaurant"

"Excellent carne asada tacos. Burrito was tightly wrapped, crispy on outside and really flavorful. The hot sauces are incredible. The green sauce is vibrant and has the tart fruit of the tomatillo with a sharp kick of jalapeño. The red sauce celebrates the sweetness of the red peppers and equally matches with heat. Your tastebuds will explode with flavor and life. You can tell they care as much about their hot sauces as they do their food and that’s a key to great Mexican food."

"Took almost 2 hours to get our food also my wife ordered a water and that took 20 minutes to get and I had received my drink also and even let the waitress know after about 5 to 10 minutes that my wife didn't receive her water. Then after we did get her water and our alcohol I had to send mine back because my long island had stuff floating in it. Finally received our food which was mediocre I wouldn't brag on it but it wasn't that bad just better options in my opinion. I really would like to give them a second chance just to see if the service would be better but don't know if it's worth the time. The customers at the other table got up and walked out because it was taking way to long to receive drinks and honestly was a couple times we almost got up and left but I kept wanting to give them a chance."

"We ate here for the first time recently and were pleasantly surprised. The decor felt like a more typical NJ Mexican place so we weren't sure what to expect. The food however speaks clearly of family. You can tell they are making the food and doing so with home cooking style. The staff are friendly and helpful, however, the service is slow. This is in part due to the large number of take out orders. And also because they are clearly cooking the food as it's ordered. We were very happy with our dishes, the Chile relleno was tasty, the chicken fajitas was great and ample. We loved the homemade guac and warm tortillas and the truly spicy salsa picante. A definite place to go."
