"Me and my wife went here for lunch on Good Friday and there was a sign at the front stating that they were short handed so please be patient with the staff. We thought that might be a problem but we were seated quickly, got our order in quickly and got our food very quick too. The food was very good and the price was even better. We have had food service problems here in the past with a full staff working so this was a pleasant surprise. Our waitress Jacqueline was very nice, attentive and was working very hard as well."

"First time at Steak 'n Shake and we were not disappointed! Ordinarily, it costs a ton to feed our whole family. But we were shocked by the bill... About $5 per person, including shakes! Granted, we had few kids meals in there. Our server, Gavin, was awesome. He got every order correct, with all the modifications for kids preferences...a first!! If we 're ever in Branson again, we 're coming back!"

"The patty was simply EXQUISITE. The onion was large and made the burger look like Saturn. The pickles were so thick and long, wish they were cut. The fries were tasty as well but the fries were so thin. The shake… don’t even get me started on the shake. The shake tasted like it was made with expired milk. I also don’t like their new addition of service. Ordering kiosk takes away the inside experience of a restaurant."

"Check your to go order prior to leaving. The lid on the coleslaw was loose and container was upside down. Upon arrival at home, when bag was lifted from the passenger seat, the bottom fell out of the bag. The coleslaw had saturated the french fries, burger and my passenger seat. Rendering all cold and inedible."

"Loves the burgers in this place, but they are always short employees. There seems to be an extremely high personnel turnover here. My husband and I are here on Saturday night. There was only one waitress for the entire dining room. After waiting for a few minutes to sit, we waited another 15 minutes and no waiting person. Finally, I stood up and asked for a manager who was somewhere behind. He said someone called and he had another one on his way. Again, the burgers are a good bargain and taste good. Service can often be a problem."

"I absolutely love Steak and Shake! I make sure to visit at least once a year when I'm in Florida. It's a burger place with a fun fifties vibe. While it's not as upscale as somewhere like Shake Shack, the prices are about a third lower, and the meat is incredibly delicious. I really wish they would expand and open locations in the Northeast. Great food, fantastic shakes, and excellent value!"

"I ordered a hot dog meal for my granddaughter at this restaurant, and it was good. The fries were also tasty. However, we did not receive any ketchup with our order. We waited for about 15 minutes in the drive-thru and no one came back to assist us. Eventually, my husband saw a lady and asked her for ketchup. She handed us one packet, but when I requested more, she gave us another one in a very unpleasant manner and quickly closed her window. I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant. We are paying customers and expect better service. If you do not enjoy working there, perhaps it is best to find another job."

"This restaurant no longer has a drive-thru service. Customers must go inside to pick up their orders or choose carry-out. Orders are placed online, through the app, or using the kiosks provided. Despite the lack of a traditional ordering process, the food is still of good quality and prepared quickly. The staff working during my visit were all very helpful and respectful. They even gave us extra onion rings as a gesture of apology for a slight delay in our food preparation. The interior of the restaurant was a bit dingy and dirty, but it was late in the day."

"First time back to Steak ‘n Shake in years, I was super excited to relive some of my childhood. I was disappointed to see that steak ‘n Shake no longer does tableservice, and the shakes now come in a Styrofoam cup instead of the big glass company used to come in. At this particular establishment the food was OK, the bathrooms were pretty gross though. I would recommend holding it until you can get home!"
