"Visited a wedding dinner at Ristorante Di Sopra, the sister restaurant of the place next door, the Italian bistro of Paravicini. My God. I wonder where people eat when this place had such a good rating. Either people do not know what good Italian food is or they are generous. I was to Italy several times, come from an Italian family and I know what I tasted here was not even near authentic. They first served Calamari while we were on the rooftop during the cocktail hour. It was too long. It was soggy and swim in the oil. Then when we came in to have dinner, 4 full baskets of bread came to a table with 4 guests sitting on it. A cheerful garlic bread was brought out and a pure bread without spices was served. There were also some other unknown varieties. The bread was decent with some taste. I asked for butter, was said it would be right that they simply forgot to take it out of the refrigerator that they get it from below. Butter never came. The staff was apologetic and friendly, but thought of the meal my chair was always in, more times than I could count. I moved on, but that happened continuously. At first, a salad was served that didn't have much taste. Then Penne Bolognese and a kind of cuffed stone covered with cheese. I was so disappointed when I tasted the Bolognese. The Penne Pasta was muddy, fell apart and red sauce was tasteless and watery. Person compared to me it compared to the brand Storbought, Makkaroni and Cheese. Covered in butter and also soft without seasoning or anything. Only butter and Bland uninteresting cheese. For desert triramisu, panna cotta. Very inspiring. The person at my table ordered an expresso and it took 20 minutes to arrive. The staff seemed unorganized and stressed all night. Very sad to say, don't waste your time here."
