"I cannot deny that the food I had at the Bavarian Lodge was some of the best German food I have had. The sour roast was delicious, the sparrow and red cabbage were equally wonderful, the liver dumpling soup was one of the best I have ever had, and the selection of beers on tap and in bottles was very impressive. There are not many German restaurants in the Midwest, for reasons unknown. However, I would compare the Bavarian Lodge to some of the best German restaurants I have encountered in my travels."
