"I had a great experience at this Indian restaurant. They offer cloth napkins and tablecloths, and the service is excellent without being intrusive. The atmosphere is peaceful and calming. When we mentioned that we were new to Indian food and had different preferences (my date likes mild dishes, while I prefer spicy), the staff were very accommodating and suggested dishes that suited our tastes. The prices are reasonable, and we left with leftovers. The location is a bit hidden in a strip mall along Army Trail Rd, but it's definitely worth the effort to find. We will definitely be coming back."

"Came here for dinner during the week while in the East Hollywood area. It was a last minute dinner with about 15 guests, but they accommodated us no problem. They put together several tables and immediately had us seated. Service was top notch. We ordered many different dishes at various spice levels since we ate family style and had varying tolerances for heat. Portions were great for sharing and the spice levels were as ordered. I personally preferred more heat, but didn't want anything to be too hot for anyone. Dishes were freshly made and flavorful. Will come back here for Indian food when visiting Hollywood."

"This place should close. Worst meal I've had in decades. Had onion bahji battered oily mess fried in oil that was too cold. Gobi Manchuria what is this dish, battered cauliflower poorly fried covered in fake sweet and sour that is way too salty, disgusting. Kerman Nan garbage served in oil soaked undercooked dough with holes in it, no one should serve this. Fish kuorma and chicken jalfrezi cooked in the same bad sauce with little variation. Even the server couldn't tell the difference and called one vegtables? Pickles literally the ones you buy in bulk at food max. Can of sprite, unopened and dropped on table for three dollars. You couldn't pour it? Creepy guy in hat stalking tables seems like a clueless owner? Two young servers both kind and trying. Protein quality was decent, but ruined by preparation. I wasted my time and money. You shouldn't. Literally go anywhere else."

"Fantastic food and fantastic service! I had my birthday dinner there with 15 people and I couldn’t have had a better experience. The food was absolutely amazing. And they excellently managed to serve this big group (we had people joining us late and it was no problem). Without hesitation they let us split the bill the way we wanted to. And they offered me a fantastic desert for free! 10/10!!"

"I celebrated my birthday this evening in this delicious restaurant. I am glad to say that we had a magnificent evening and the restaurant was surely one of the reasons for this happy event. "The chaats are terrible. Papdi chat was missing almost every spice. It was bland and soggy. Barely taste any yogurt, the sweet chutney provided was more sour than sweet and lacked any hint of chilies or other spices. The Gobi Manchurian was like a giant tree of cauliflower (you do know that the cauliflower flower florets need to be broken down and then crisped) and soggy!! Surprisingly the flavor was better than it looked. The samosa chaat was decent not exactly gourmet butit had some flavors come through. It lacked the crispy edges of the samosas and it looks more like a potato patty instead of a samosa. It?s a aloo patty chaat instead of a Samosa chaat. I don?t know what to say about the vegetable biryanibecause they forgot to provide the biryani (and wanted me to come back in person to provide a credit or pick it up again). The Paneer was decent, nothing gourmet again. The cubes were soft but the curry was just downright average. Thenaan on the other hand was just simply undercooked and raw!!"

"We were looking forward to our lunch and expecting a regular restaurant with the advertised menu. Instead there was a buffet with a number of offerings, but no lamb, eggplant, fish etc. — just vegetarian or chicken with naan and spicesyogurt sides. We heard there was dessert and tea but decided not to risk it. I would not have ordered any of these dishes if we had had the regular menu. We were disappointed, but if people were to know ahead of time this is more cafeteria than fine dining, maybe they would tolerate the buffet and appreciate the prices. The prices were not reasonable, so think of it as a lowprice Indian cafeteria if you are heading there for lunch. The service and ambiance were fine. The server mentioned that they were expecting the hurricane might keep people away. Seems strange because it was not near and the forecast had it going in the opposite direction, but maybe that is why they did not cook to order. Anyway, we will not be back to find out"

"Very delicious and consistent food! This is our go to place in the area. Love the saag paneer. I was suggested by the restaurant to try the bomb chicken which was great! I would love more offerings that featured all white meat chicken."

"This restaurant just never disappoints you. We stopped here today for their lunch special. The Veggie masala was fantastic, and the Naan was hot and ready to eat. We were hungry and enjoyed all the special lunch extras like the soup. I'm recovering after a bad cold, and the soup was exactly what I needed! Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options here!"

"Spicy means indian spicy for Swad...which is great! Ambience is ordinary n regular but makes up with food and portion size, which are awesome. Next visit should be for lunch, cos a hearty meal such as these without an afternoon siesta to follow its not the same. Tandoori Nan was thin yet soft fish was done just right and mutton roghan josh was enjoyably spicy. Mango lassi for my teste was way too sweet.Vegetarian options: Good varietyKid-friendliness: Yes"

"3 years ago, I gave this place 3 stars. Over the last year or two, I have heard about how great this place is, and I was so confused. When it opened, it wasn't great. I went twice and didn't go back. I was honestly surprised it stayed open! But a lot has changed in 3 years. Our usual Indian spot was closed, so I called Tandoor and ordered our own little buffet. Totally worth it. All together, this was about $70. Will feed 2 people for 3+ days haha. Everything was delicious! Yes, it would probably have been even better to dine in, but takeaway was our plan. The appetizer was the mixed platter. I like these type of options! They're great for indecisive appetizer people like me. My favorite was of course the vegetable pakora. It always is We got both plain and garlic naan. It was probably much more crisp in the restaurant, but it still tasted delicious. For meats, we had Keema Matar and Chicken Tikka Masala. Both were very very good. The Keema Matar might be better than I've had at my normal joint! For veg, we had vegetable curry and saag paneer. If anything was not as good as the rest, it was the vegetable curry, but that does not mean it wasn't good! We do still have like 4 good meals left, so it ended up being just over $10/meal. These days, you can't get much better than that. And you definitely cannot for this deliciousness. Go get you some Tandoor!"

"Solid Indian food! Surprisingly, the veg dishes here were the best far surpassed the quality and taste of the non-veg ones. We ordered the vegetarian dinner for two non-vegetarian dinner for two — both incredible deals. The tandoori mix plate was just ok — it was drier than I wanted, wouldn’t get again. The eggplant bharta, malai kofta, paneer tikka masala, and the samosas were the real winners here. For dessert, having sampled 80% of it lol, the kheer (rice pudding) and mango kulfi was the best."
