"Not exactly the original ray's, but with is infamous name, they sling decent pies like most other pizza shops in the city.I've stopped in here several times for a slice. It's pretty close to quintessential nyc pizza. I appreciate that they go beyond just plain and pepperoni. Garlic knots are pretty good too.Nice enough guys behind the counter and any slice is good as long as you ensure it hasn't sat there for too long. I've had a miss or two. The oven reheat can only do so much."

"I drive past this place a few times a week. Haven't stepped foot in here in probably about 7-8 years because the pizza wasn't good the last time I was here. Needed a quick bite and figured I would give them another shot. Took home two slices and ended up only eating half of a slice.I just don't think the pizza is very good here. Maybe some of the other dishes are better."

"I've been working in the area and I've been in this pizza shop for 8 years. Owners have changed within these 8 years. I had a piece of cheese and a mushroom. Unfortunately, they were probably the worst slices I had in NYC. Both discs were extremely bland. The cheese and the crust had no taste, on both slices, and the crust seemed old. It had this weird crunch I never saw in a piece of pizza."
