"We sat outside by the water. The food was average. The cole slaw was chunky and flat no spice with way too much mayonnaise. Avoid it. The green beans needed some bacon or something to pick them up. The server insisted I changed my order from fried fish which fit the setting to what he claimed was a spectacular Grade A strip steak. Reluctantly I took the “special”. It wasn’t. I ordered it medium rare and it came out medium well. It was a scraggly strip steak thin and tasteless. The restaurant is a casual, understated waterside watering hole which probably does a better job with fried fish and French fries. I believe a “special” should be a special and was sad to have missed my opportunity to try their fried fare. Sadly, a leopard cannot change its spots"
