"I really wanted to like this place and the staff are attentive and fabulous. Great for studying. Has room to spread out. The cons The coffee isn’t great and I’m talking the actual drip and Highlander grogg. I don’t do lattes or iced coffee. I had to ask cashier what kind of coffee the house blend was, she didn’t know and had to verify, you should always know. It’s your job to drive the info for the customer. There is only half and half at the sugar station… it’s 2024 and most of us younger people prefer options of almond milk oat milk low fat etc…no raw sugar or simple syrup available. Additionally on busy morning it takes up extra time at the counter and increases steps and room for customer error by asking the barista for a splash of oat or two inches of milk, etc … let the customer choose at the counter and keep the line moving. Atmosphere, like most places on the Midwest they all look alike. Dark and dingy and freezing cold. Too much black and dark not enough light. It’s so cold you’ll need sweatpants sweatshirt. Tables and chairs standard black plasticky appealing mediocre restaurant decor. I was hoping for an inviting relaxing atmosphere not dark and dreary with strange lights. Counter at cashier looks slapped together with fast shotty work. You had a fabulous opportunities to invite more real wood for tables or paint it lighter colors and create a more relaxing experience for the customer. Not sure who your interior decorator was but totally missed the mark there are 500 other coffee shops in Ohio, what makes yours stand out? Price they’re too low. Market in Cincinnati for most coffee shops for a 12 oz drip is 3 4$ (maybe 3.24 3.50 would be a good price) $2 is way too cheap and you are totally losing money here. Drip coffee labeling: clearly state what is it… try changing out the regular coffee to try different brews don’t just only offer a two hours old random medium roast where I don’t know the flavor notes, origin or brand. Lighter roasts are also great and people love them. Rewards system? Want to keep customers coming back, maybe do a 10 coffees get a free one, etc This place has regulars who will definitely keep coming back."
