"Aside from loving the food itself, Middle Eastern food is usually a joy for me because there is so much that I, as a vegetarian, can eat. The food we sampled at Ammatoli was excellent, aside from one flaw. The flaw as that the spinach in the otherwise marvelous Spinach Kibbeh was still frozen inside. That should never happen at a restaurant of this quality, especially when their somewhat expensive dishes are justified by that quality. However, the mistake with the kibbeh is not the reason for a mediocre review. It is because, for a vegetarian, it's way too expensive. The three mezza dish, which we ordered, costs $29, which is a sort of a deal when you consider that each mezza is about $14 separately. The portions are modest, so for a normal person who happens to be vegan or vegetarian to have a full meal, it would cost $50 $60. And I'm talking about a meal of chickpeas, eggplant, bulgar. For about $30, on the other hand, an omnivore will have chicken or salmon for a dollar less $28 or lamb for a few dollars more, and that includes two sides: like hummas, which, in the mezza plate, comes to $9.33 per item. $9.33 for two spinach kibbehs, served under cooked. I'm comparing items on the dinner menu for simplicity; but we actually ate during the Happy Hour, which reduced the 3 mezza plate from $29 to $22. How about an actual vegetarian plate with an assortment of 5 or 6 items and a few olives and sticks of pickled beets, with smaller portions than the mezza plate but something that overall is comparable as a meal to what omnivores are offered. A pity that a restaurant that could so easily be vegan and vegetarian friendly is not."

"The food is not only amazingly accurate for home in israel. But it has pure amazing hummus and fantastic falafel! Hummus is light in texture and taste, but so remarkable. (Creatively free in the direction of the hummus plate, which connects it), mushrooms, truffle oil!, beef swung with onions or even mixed with an ingeniously authentic Shakshuka! To be honest, it is a very high-quality place to dinate, especially with the thought of traditional israeli style. The specials can be either completely authentic to israeli culture of food, but they can bend to an internacional level. From deserts of Turkish culture, such as Malabi (Desert), to the dazzling Brazilian court known as Mocequa. The dishes are served with full character, and the owner and cook itself is of israeli and morrocan culture. Leaving the establishment with more than enough at home when you enter!!!"

"This restaurant is amazing! It was my first time dining here and I was immediately impressed by how clean the place was. The interior decor was lovely as well. The only downside was the small parking area, which can be a bit of a challenge. The waitress was fantastic and made sure our drink glasses were always full. Be sure to come hungry because the portions are very generous. I will definitely be returning for another meal. Thank you for a wonderful experience!"

"we were there an hour and didn't even have our drinks. they have ordered a maultier, a martini. then ordered a margarita, everything they did was mixed in ice and the martini was thrown into it. complaining about the service, was said there is another party in that the waiter is maintenance and he said: "I am the support of the table inside and then I will them, they are order is not in both." we were the only two parties. the reservation was made a week in advance, they should have been properly served to serve all at the same level. all the time we were there, it smells like a gas leak had dropped."

"The aromas outside the restaurant were divine. The staff was very courteous and accommodating, particularly when we had questions about the menu. The food was amazing. The garlic paste and bread served at the start of the meal could have been a full meal in itself! The hummus was the creamiest I've ever had. The Lamb Chili and Shish Tawook were both fantastic. I would definitely make another trip to Michigan just to dine here again!"

"The fatoosh with chicken (tawook) was perfect. I was looking for a juicy chicken on a beautiful salad and found it! This place is worth it. We impromptu stopped here, I was hungry. The spinach cakes were a 7. The decor is beautiful! I felt like a step into ancient Egypt. Excellent!"

"Paid almost $50 and this is what I got: two spoons of harira soup and two spoons of what they call ?lentil soup? that doesn?t even look like soup and they both taste below average. Paid $9 for the salad which is ridiculous given the quality and portion. Also the chicken kabob came with boiled potatoes and carrots; no seasoning or flavor whatsoever for about $18! Oh and two quarters of pita bread. This was a to go order. Will never order to go again. Overpriced, small"

"We came here on a Saturday to enjoy some lunch, and did we ever. We have been here many times before the pandemic but of course had to try again post pandemic. The server was good, we thought it was kinda slow on the service but it can be deceiving because we don't see how many takeout or delivery orders they truly have, so have to bear with them. The food is excellent as always. The pita is very good, I recommend getting some babaghanouj or hummus. We're vegan and it's quite easy to find some vegan options here. Definitely recommend checking out this beauty if you're in the north Detroit suburbs. 5/5. Follow me for more reviews, tips or photos."

"I had to cancel a large order due to a sick child, but everything went smoothly the next day when I placed my order at Carousel. The staff was friendly and polite, and the food arrived on time and delicious as usual. My family gathering was a success thanks to Carousel!"
