"My stay at the hotel from 10/9-10/12 was unfortunately disappointing compared to past pleasant experiences. The entire property, including the village houses, appeared worn out with chipped paint and overall lack of maintenance. The hotel's red carpet was filthy with dirt, setting a negative tone upon arrival. The interior of the old inn displayed tattered curtains, lack of cleanliness, and long wait times for meals. Despite staying in various rooms in the main inn and village houses before, my recent stay at Maple Glen was the worst. Promised as a new accommodation, it turned out to be an old 1840 house with small, uncomfortable rooms, inadequate lighting, and hard beds. The painted floors were appealing, but tarnished from lack of cleanliness. The furniture seemed like hand-me-downs, paired with damaged lampshades and a random refrigerator in the room. The dark color scheme made the room appear dim and cramped, while the layout was inconvenient. The bathroom was functional with heated floors, but overall, the service was lacking. Dining options were not as expected, with outdoor reservations being accepted instead of honoring inn preferences. With no help, housekeeping, or even coffee available in Maple Glen, I cannot recommend this experience. It was a major letdown after so much anticipation for a great stay."
