"They do charge a dollar for a mask if you don't have one. The front staff seemed really confused on where to pay your bill and some general questions. The online menu was challenging to read and use. The print is super small then if you enlarge it to read it you can only see a small part of the menu. Also the menu button was really close to the order button, so it was easy to push the wrong button. I did like the order button though because you could just push it when you needed something. They brought out a paper menu and it was gigantic and super long it was more like a book you see in a movie on a big book stand. The atmosphere was nice and everyone was friendly and the food was good."

Told and showed waiter look my enchiladas it’s pollo, again he questions me said I saw shrimp.yes only at edge, cut open enchiladas with chicken and 2 piece shrimp. Kitchen thought I was not goin to noticed the difference? Waiter service was just bad, no personality of what so ever. Mr. TEMPO I followed you on social media You predict awasome service, top of the best, you’re manager just passed by all tables, no greeting no connection. Waiter was having a great time with other guest leaning on table and having a great conversation. Never came back to check on us. We were helped out by ur busboy. Yes tip was was given I did not take pictures of eaten food. To proof this. Tempo get on top of this Brea At end waiter noticed we are not pleased, bring cart of churros for inconvenience. Was charge enchiladas with pollo plus $7.00 for shrimp."

"Been to serval other locations this one had to have been the worst one I’ve been too. Made reservations at 7;45, we didn’t get seated till almost 8:30 while each time I asked how much longer for our table the girl response was time was “we’re setting your table right now” while other people who were just arriving were getting seated before us. Our waitress as well never checked up on us but went to every other table she had, ignored when called too our table, only time she came to our table was to order our food(1x), order our food(2x) to close the bill(3x) other than that we had to flag Another worker who’d pass by. Overall will b my first last time at this location."

"We sang my best friend last night and I celebrated a train. The hostess was very sweet that they tried to receive my offer of switching tables, but it was a Saturday night and it was packed. We sat on a two summit on the way, which was somewhat unpleasant, but again it was so packed. Food and service was amazing, our server was always checked for us and recommended to try the best things. There was a fight that broke out during dinner, but staff and management did an amazing task to calm it down and treat the problem."

"This restaurant is under new ownership and has been changed a good bit. The salsa is excellent and we had Pineapple Fijitas with shrimp which were excellent. We ended the meal by trying their chocolate cake. Everything exceeded our expectations and as a Veteran I would like to personally thank them for supporting Veterans with a Veterans discount."

"I felt inclined to update my review. I initially had a bad experience and happened to return and the friendly lady at the drive thru remembered me acknowledged the previous incident. She apologized and assured me it was addressed by the owner. I thanked her and mentioned the tacos were too good for me not to return. As a customer I appreciate that fact that the issue was addressed so now I can continue to visit in the mornings."

"I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this restaurant. If you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, this is the place to go! Everything was fantastic. I ordered the enchiladas tricolor, and they were absolutely delicious! My friend got the fried steak and chicken tortilla soup, both of which were great. The service was quick, and the food was even better. I would definitely love to explore more of the menu on my next visit!"

"This is a really great stop for good value food and only a block from Petco Park. Service was awesome. I really liked my torta but could use a little more meat. I think two sides would be appropriate also and it looked like all the entrees only came with one side. House made chips and salsa were really good. My wife is vegetarian and loved their veggie tacos. We will definitely be back."

"This was our first time visiting this restaurant since moving to Hattiesburg. I must say, the staff here are very friendly, especially our server who greeted us with a beautiful smile. "There is MexiCAN and then there is... MexiCANT! MexiCAN is all about good food, bomb drinks and complimentary chips and salsa that will make you literally beg for more. MexiCANT is when the food sucks, the drinks are **** and the chips and salsa are a complete waste of time. At Plata Taqueria Catina... Here 's how it went down: When I go a Mexican restaurant, the number 1 test is always about the Chips and Salsa. A Are they complimentary?? (And if not, Why the hell not!? B Are the chips homemade and is the salsa made in house? If you fail the chips and salsa test, you fail the life test. Haha. Just kidding. Maybe. To me, Good Complimentary chips and salsa are a must when visiting a Mexican Restaurant and there are No Exceptions to this unwritten rule. Tacos. Are. Life. Who doesn 't love tacos?? I myself am obsessed and this is yet another test that will make or break the meal. Luckily for Plata Taqueria and Catina in Agoura Hills, they not only nailed their chips salsa game, but their tacos were ON POINT!! Test #3 Beans and Rice a.k.a Frijoles y Arroz Yes, Making Mexican or Spanish beans and rice is not only a skill, but it is a baseline for how the rest of the meal will be. A place that has mediocre beans and rice is almost guaranteed to have mediocre tacos...trust me. And the final Test... M-A-R-G-A-R-I-T-A-S!!! That 's right people... You 've had one Margarita, you 've had em ' all is not actually a thing. Plata, I am happy to say.... You Aced Every Single Test!! The Chips Salsa were ridiculously Amazing!! The chips were seasoned with some kind of magic dust that had my drooling for more. And I couldn 't shovel the salsa in my mouth fast enough. They have 12, that 's right TWELVE types of tacos that will make you cry tears of joy!! The green enchiladas my wife ordered which came with delicious rice and beans were perfectly perfect! We decided to sit outside as it was a beautiful sunny day. I had a Corona with lime and a Margarita on the rocks for my wife which was the perfect compliment to our amazing lunch. This was our First visit to Plata, but we will 100% come back for more!"

"La Villita Cantina is finally reopened on Franklin! The new location is right in between Birds and Sushi Stop. Our little corner is bustling once again! We came for opening as we were thrilled to have a Mexican spot open up. We ordered a guava margarita, and two blackberry margaritas. All were excellent, but I’d say the guava was the best, it’s rare to get that flavor in a standard cantina. To start, we ordered the smoked shredded chicken nachos. Then we ordered a variety of tacos. There were so many great flavors to choose from, but we decided on: Korean Popcorn Chicken, Chicken Shawarma, Quesabirria, fried shrimp, grilled wahoo, and jerk filet mignon. We were stunned at how delicious every single item we got was. I couldn’t believe they nailed such a vast menu, but everything was something I’d easily return for. AND the tacos are big portions at six inches long, so I’d recommend roughly two per person. I will be dreaming about these tacos until I come back. The whole staff was so friendly and excited to be open again. I can’t wait for our next night out here so thrilled this place is back on the block!"
